Probably my fav kitchen equipment although it's not very manly to admit:)

porridge on toast, a quick nourishing breakfast.
1. empty 1 packet of quaker oats quick porridge into a bowl, fill the empty packet up to the dotted linewith full fat milk, place in a microwave on full power for 2 mins. take one thick slice of seeded wholemeal bread, put into a toaster and switch on.
2. after 45 secs, stir the porridge, so to speak.
3. after 75 seconds remove toast from toaster and spread with butter or olive oil according to taste.
4. after 120 seconds remove bowl from microwave and spread porridge over toast, sprinkle with cinnamon and drizzle with a little honey or jam.
5. thats it.

Never tried that one before Tax, shall put it on my list.
you wont be disappointed. done and dusted within a couple of minutes, minimal washing up. honey much better than jam though.Quote:

Coconut milk is optional. I don't use much anyway, maybe 3-4 tablespoons worth in a liter of soup.
No idea, sorry. Just Google up soups using the vegetable(s) you like as a base, that's how I first found the Pumpkin soup recipe.

Well done Dill, looks great, dumplings are magnifico .
^^That does look very tasty Dillinger. More blokey than butternut custard too.
Actually, SKkin you are right, I think Dill isn't playing by the rules that Chitty has set - Dill, the Anthony Worrall Thompson of TD, sneak.
That is a crime against cattery that is!

It looks like a stuffed toy cat now.
I asked Persian GPGF if she had been cutting her Persian moggy's whiskers and she said she had.
I tried to explain that they use their whiskers to judge the width of openings before trying to squeeze through but she still thought the aesthetic appearance outweighed nature's design practicality.
Erm, a real bloke don't do the cooking
I cant see whats on page 3 of this thread
So you like em like this?

Doesn't strike me as bloke's cookery under Looper's :ourrules:
A couple nights ago I sliced up 5 bratwursts in pieces, diced 3 taters, sliced up a whole medium onion thin(didn't cry), sliced up half of a green and red bell pepper each, a couple garlic cloves and some thin sliced fresh ginger. Threw in a dollop of chili garlic sauce, salt, and pepper then fried it all up together...after browning the bratwurst first. Took about half an hour.
Did it all by myself. Took a pic but then deleted it. Was just before this thread. Didn't want to catch a bunch of shit in the dinner thread. Wasn't foo-foo enough for that thread. :)
In my mind that was bloke cookery. Not as quick or simple as Looper's OP though.
Today's lunch warming up nicely on the dashboard board...

Can someone do the honours :)
Washed down with a 50g protein shake, all purchased for under a couple of British pounds.
This is Brexit Britain, everything is cheaper than Pattaya.:UK:
There warming up nicely in the 25oC February Sun:)
Why do you have a Gay Pride nodding unicorn on the parcel shelf?:)
So I get out my Oxford dictionary, I look up this word " bloke" it says bloke means man. Really, are you kidding me? You tell me in what fucking country is this considered mans' food? Then piss Ant has to post a picture of his cat. I think TD has been infected with a gay virus.
What's gay about a set of strawberry teeth, creme caramel nose , egg custard tart eyes and whipped cream balls n Tash? :spin:

OK had another go.
Cut the cheese slices into near perfect squares this time and thickness of 4mm + - 0.5mm
https://teakdoor.com/attachment.php?a...id=28648&stc=1
Stood the little cheese soldiers up more evenly spaced and more standing straight to attention.
https://teakdoor.com/attachment.php?a...id=28649&stc=1
Rolling with Coles chilli beanz this time (you might notice that the picture on the tin indicates proper kidney beans but those cheap bastards at coles have actually used heinz beans instead)
https://teakdoor.com/attachment.php?a...id=28652&stc=1
Just to mix it up and keep it fresh and adventurous I am going with a garnishing of Tyrrels cheddar and chive as well as the standard cheesy doritos.
^ when did the Russian bird leave you mate?:)
^Dilli I do not recommend russian food and had to be polite about her mum's cooking
You need the constitution of a concrete elephant to survive the trials of russian home cooking.
