Never seen Taco Bell but I can guess.

Until yesterday, I had never seen Krispy Kreme either. Donuts huh? My guess on this one was confined to some high calories sweet stuff.

    Not tempted to try it.

    Every day ... etc

    Was an imitation one.

Yum bought the rights around that time and were planning open them, before the TYG crisis hit.

In the States it's mostly drive-thru. Not exactly a sit down restaurant. But in Thailand, who knows.
Yum needs a franchise success. Last year they sold off the management of KFC to a newly formed group. They also have A&W, who you may have noticed, have started taking a more aggressive approach to their marketing. Taco Bell would be a niche brand in Thailand at best. They only chance it has is in certain farang centric parts of Bangkok, Pattaya, pumps on major highways and perhaps some larger cities as opposed to KFC which is omnipresent.

Oh joy more US junk food.

I watched a video of a m/bike guy from Europe, his trip was around the world. He got to US and was going west to east. He said after the first day's ride he left the interstate to look for a restaurant but couldn't find one. He said he was forced to live on strip mall places like Taco Bell. He was going to spend a while in the US but with such a lack of choice of food he transited as quickly as possible.
Better to think inside the pub, than outside the box?
I apologize if any offence was caused. unless it was intended.

They said the same 10 years ago about the Kawasaki 650's that were slowly introduced. 10 years later and there are a dozen such models between Kawa and Honda, and Honda have nationwide branches of Honda Big Wing just for their big bikes.

It's spicy, it might well take off. Here's to hoping, as it may mean more Mexican restaurants if it actually start to become somewhat popular.
