Fresh figs are nice. It's been a few years since I've eaten them though.

That's you believe, but as we know... well you haven't got a clue what you have done half the time now.

I'm yet to see them for sale in Thailand, imported or local (as Jeff claims there are but we all know he's totally fucking clueless ). The Missus loves them and had never tried one till the first time we went to Farangland, for sure she wishes they'd be available in local markets. I've no idea if they don't travel well, or there's some other reason we don't see them in the imported fruit section of places like Foodland and Villa next to the Peaches and Cherries. There's always dried Figs from Israel available, but they're no good compared to the fresh variety.

Tom we got to Central in Pattaya occasionaly, never seen them there either.

...Paris Mikki may not have a branch there...I once saw a tray of fresh figs available in the Central Chidlom supermarket: gone in 60 seconds...

^So they'd have been imported and worth about 500 Baht each if they were in Central. Again, I wonder why we can't get them here when places like Central - which has every fruit from every corner of the globe on its shelves - doesn't carry them year round...

Couldn't find one bad review of this place, so I shall pop in at some point. The croissants are meant to be the best in Bangkok too.

There's another one on Suk Soi 19, just a short stroll from Asoke BTS I see.

overpriced as usual, I can get 3 awesome Japanese French pastry in Paris in a very famous shop for that price,

Thailand is really a poor place for farang food,

Even expensive Hermé Paris is cheaper than that

no sweet white wine to go with that?

He's got a weird little obsession with your reviews, I suspect the truth of the matter is a little too sad to recount. Shame on you TC.
