Pala (again)-s__5718019_0-jpg...a brief stop at Pala to try a new menu item: penne with gorgonzola, broccoli and fresh walnuts: superb with a glass or three of Montepulciano...

That does look and sound pretty good. I'm surprised by the pairing of the cheese and nuts though, I would have expected a cheese like a smoked gouda rather than gorgonzola.

...Pala open and serving wine...today's lunch: Pan-fried sea bass in a butter, lemon and caper sauce on a bed of spinach for me and a rocket salad with sun-dried tomatoes and Parmesan for SD...excellent with a glass or 3 of Montepulciano...

...Pala for lunch (we're here twice a month): porcini mushrooms in a light cheesy/truffle oil sauce, a puttanesca on linguine for SD, and the pizza selection for tonight's dinner...of note: the bread is freshly baked and sold by the loaf...it is also served at table for olive oil/balsamic dipping...as usual, several glasses of Montepulciano to accompany...
