SD planned my birthday lunch here: an excellent choice. We started with a pizza souffle (see pics) that was interesting in the vertical presentation and highlighted by a very nice Parma ham...and a duck breast "kebab" sandwich...tender and flavorful. The main was a paella for two: a Spanish rice base loaded with seafood (lobster half, octopus, sea bass, mussels and who knows what else). It needed a bit more seasoning to match the paella I enjoyed many times in Barcelona, but was still enjoyable. Dessert (complementary...I don't know why) was a 3 chocolate confection with a light creme fraiche. A bit much, but...free. I had a very nice Bordeaux and SD had water. The table bread was an excellent sour dough served with seasoned butter and a very nice olive oil/balsamic set for dipping. A good crowd for lunch (mostly Thai, most drinking white wine) in an airy space. A monsoon deluge provided the entertainment while we were eating. B5,000 (with 3 glasses of red @ B270 per).
