Id wager anyone hating on ribs hasn't ad a good rack before.

dunno if they'd meet the highest standards, but I've never been disappointed by the ribs at the huntsman pub (landmark hotel)

Going back to circa 2001/2 now but Tony Romas on Sukhumvit no idea if it's still there used to do good ribs, don't remember it being the cheapest of places though, vaguely seem to remember 4k baht bills for 2 some 15 years ago.

It's wise to stick to familiar establishments on special days. Be adventurous when it doesn't matter.
