Are you nicking the Guinness NR?

In the days prior to the alarms on bottles and my middle aged spread, I could get 3 bottles of blue labelled Smirnoff down my kecks

A proper philly cheesesteak DOES have liquid processed cheese on it! It's meant to. It's also meant to be greasy and perverse and weird, like a male English expat in Soi Cowboy. There's a reason junk food is called junk food and, God help us, no reason at all why it shouldn't be enjoyed occasionally. The problem with gastronomic snobbery, like all forms of snobbery, is that it restricts rather than expands our choices. The world is full of wonderful things, many of them greasy and dirty, go forth and partake thereof!!

True no harm, now and again, but people are eating it every single day .
They need to prepare their own food from scratch- fresh veg , fresh oil, little salt etc .
Some office workers are addicted to buying ready made sarnies too. Lazy slobs.

Even posh restaurants are probably not much better; as testified by rich bastards and celebrity chefs not looking so healthy .

Sadly, I think it's because a lot of Wetherspoon's nosh includes a "free" pint and many use this as an excuse for a swift pint or two at lunchtime. No Wetherspoons in the town where I live but there's an O'Neills and a Slug & Lettuce, pretty much the same. To be honest though, some Wetherspoons are not too bad. I was in one in Glossop last Christmas and it was pretty nice, open fire, child friendly, decent clientele. I think it's the location that matters (e.g. avoid Newcastle City Centre) rather than the chain itself.

Come on Slaps, do the deed. Show us your home made Pasta Dish. No cheesy music just last nights rumble upstairs. Include the ingredients cost, the bus fare costs, the refreshment costs (as it was too hot and the bus was late), leccy, washing up liquid, minimum hourly wage for the "cooking time".

Is it £1 or £2, the world has stopped until the result is known. Lafarge cannot open his mouth until the result is known. Hillary's email acount has been blocked and the Chinese will not buy any more Gold .........

JD Wetherspoon posts 4.1% rise in pre-tax profits.
    13 March 2015 Last updated at 08:00

JD Wetherspoon, one of the UK's biggest pub chains, has seen its pre-tax profits rise 4.1% in the first half of its financial year to £37.5m.

Takings rose by 9% to £744.4m in the six months to 25 January.

JD Wetherspoon's food sales rose 10.1%, suggesting that the company's focus on the daytime food and drinks market is delivering results.

However, competition from supermarkets continues to weigh on the company's profits, according to its chairman.

"Our profit was under pressure from areas which included increased competition from supermarkets and increased pay and bonuses for pub staff," said Tim Martin.

JD Wetherspoon has been criticised for employing 80% of its staff on zero-hours contracts.

The pub chain has said that it has allocated £15.3m in bonuses and free shares to employees, up from £14m the previous year. 83% of the bonuses and shares were paid to its workers.

    Like-for-like bar sales increased 1.5%

A "simple reflection" of fatboy would require a size of mirror incapable of being built.

Sometimes, albeit very rarely, fat people get a hankering for salad.

Ladies and gents... the chicken ceasar salad

    Calling "Shifter" on this one.

By analyzing the photo you can see that the pint is finished, but Sommers has a hot chocolate on the go and keeps the spoon in so he can stir it every so often for the simple reason that it doesn't get to "chocolaty" for him at the bottom.

    A typical shifter move.
