    British Pie Shop Bangkok

Well after hitting this palce on a yahoo search...all I can say is "there is a G".

Simple BF of sausage, to die for, eggs perfect, toast actually brown, and tomatoes that had not just been tossed into the pan and warmed...mmmmm.

Sausage roll offered on the house as a sample...OMG, chunky pork with a great herb flavour.

Am now...at 10.31 p.m. sampling one of their Pork Pies.. again something that you know has been hand-made with pride. Seriously check them out, I know I am going back in a week when I rtn via BKK. Pattay Baker's do not have a thing on this place.

This thread has urged me to seek out a couple of decent pies for dinner.

They're in the oven at the moment.

If it's the pie shop on Soi Yenakat, then I've tried it. The pastry was excellent but the fillings were almost meat free. Kind of the opposite of Yorkies where the filling is nice but the pastry resembles a thin layer of cement.

Spam and egg pie. My mother used to make it and reckoned it was a luxury dish in the war. Could use your entire meat and egg ration in one meal.

Recommendation in Pattaya please? I dont know much about pies. Have tried Crazy Dave's and another place a few doors down. Was fine but wondering if they are considered good or what.

    ^ Bunters is still trading.

The black pudding was not up to scratch this time though.
The blood hadn't congealed fully, thus only getting a poor Bogon 6/10 rating for price and effort.

    Agreed.

I must have spent a million baht in that place over the years.

Used to fall asleep in me dinner at 2am pissed after a quiet night in Cowboy.

Got stabbed in there too. Which is why they round off the ends of the knifes now.
