Thread: Planting Trees in Sakon Nakhon

HI I recently built a new home in the Sakon Nakhon region of Thailand. I would like to purchase some mature trees to provide shade on my home without having to wait many years for them to grow. Can anyone provide me information on where I could go to buy large/mature trees in this part of Thailand?

thaishark, go to your nearest garden centre where they sell plants, pots etc, they will most likely point you in the right direction, also keep a look out for building sites, and developments, they buy in matured trees,and ask there.

Thanks for the reply. I have been to a couple of the so called nursery's and the prices there were substantially higher than when I purchased some trees in Chiang Mai. O well I guess I will have to pay as I need the shade.
