Insect Problem I think

I have bamboo trees and there is something leaving a black sticky substance on them my guess is its some bug of sometype. My exterminator has sprayed I ve sprayed cant seem to get rid of them . Something has to gettum but I dont know what .. any help ?

Could be bamboo mites. Near microscopic in size. Check underside of leaves. May need a magnifying glass. Hard to eradicate. Try Avermectin if you can find it or equivalent.

Is this black sticky substance like treacle ? Now and again we get something that deposits a sticky substance and I can't find anything that cleans it. I've had in in a rolled up umbrella, a cabinet door lock and some clothes. I've tried everything to remove it, even petrol, but nothing. Have never seen an insect, so fcuk knows what deposits it.

Could be a type of mold. Hard to get off.

^ I think that could be it, have what sounds a similar black substance on one row of eucalyptus trees, that row is partially shaded from larger trees, all the other rows are 'clean'.
As a consequence that outside row are the 'runts of the litter', whether the mold caused this, or they have the mold because they are not as healthy as the others I don't know.

not from a Sha-lack tree? the resin [sap] is harvested for paint products, big bussnes in our village. just a guess
