    Some types were imported to the US as a colorful aquarium fish which could hold its own with other aggressive fish.

    There are several fish, who will try to leave a pond during rain, snake-head (pla chon) catfish (pla duc) and one they call "pla more", I'm not sure about the English or Latin name, I will check.
