    Thai gardening in Denmark

Missus dream about a vegetable garden, but she wants Thai vegetables - not common Danish stuff like carrots and potatoes.

Is it possible to plant Thai vegetables in a climate like Denmark/Northern Europe? We can shop a greenhouse if necessary, but is it enough or do we need to drag a tanning bed into it?

I think you'd be able to grow most things for a limited time each year. Another option would be to put some of her favorites in pots indoors. Of course, if you can afford a greenhouse, there you go.

I think you could do lemon grass, basil, hot peppers and a few more as potted indoor plants. None of those need humidity, they just need to not freeze.

Has any of you actually tried growing Thai vegetables in a garden/greenhouse?

We have done hot peppers indoor. That's quite easy and convinient, although we could grow enough to keep up with missus use of hot peppers.

A glass greenhouse with heater and humidifier should do the trick and for good measure put in a big screen TV and hook up to Thai web cams so the plants will feel right at home

Wish I had the room for a greenhouse!

Chili plants indoors? Don't they need a good bit of sun?

We have lots of sun in our apartment. High floor and no houses to block the view helps a lot
