Have to slim them up with that Apple Cider Vinegar first.
Lu, just stick with Montclaire, it seem like the only liquid you've got mastered

Problem solved.
All the bacteria bloom was from the 3 goldfish.
Shoved those fooker's into a basin in the bog, 4 days later still as clear as me soul.
2nd goldfish tank arriving from Lazada tomorrow to be shoved in the store room with the remaining Twiddle-Tail and Flower-Pop. Sushi succumbed to basin fever and is swimming in the great septic tank in the sky. RIP.
Lesson. Don't buy goldfish. Buy the wee fellas. Also buy more of the filtering foam, and extra real plants.
1. Put more gravel inside the filter block. They will provide space for bacteria that will eat fish-waste and convert it into harmless nitrates.
2. Never clean the filter! only rinse the foam from excessive dirt.
3. Never replace all of the water. As said before, maximum 20% at a time.
4. Make sure not to use tap-water directly for topping up. Either leave it standing for 24hrs to gas off the chlorine, or better, use bottled water or filtered water.
5. Water for top up, add it slowly, like half a cup at a time. Too much temperature difference and your fish will suffer and might get sick.
6. Adding live plants doesn't make much difference if you don't have sufficient light and aren't dosing CO2 for the plants to grow. They are also a sure source for adding algae to the tank.
A small tank like that is very difficult to keep stable and healthy. The bigger the tank and water volume, the less maintenance is required.
Cheers,
Luc
