Is this a purple sunbird? I don't have a powerful enough lens to get long range photos, 30m is about my limit, with a 450mm equivalent.
At least I brought my tripod with me this time or it would be impossible to get any pictures at all.
It looks very much like a male Purple Sunbird and could change the ID of the female at the nest.
I have seen a similar nest before of a Purple Sunbird in the far northwest, this one:
