I'm doing my own flowers gallery as well but it doesn't go far yet because of my laziness. So far, I have only 1 flower in there.

    Here you go;

Looks like the same as this one, but dont know what it is.

Will have a search and see if I can come up with something
They're called celosia cristata or cockscomb
    belonging to the amaranthus species.
Yes, in Thai they're called cockscomb as well: " Ngon Kai " ( หงอนไก่ ), though be careful pasting that into Google Image search as it's the name for a popular STD as well.

If you want some, you can order the seed here: AFM Group

The slightly more common type with the colorfol plumes (Celosia Plumosa) is called Soy Kai ( สร้อยไก่ )

BH, do you mind if I copy some of your photos to paint?

I would ask dd too, but I am not sure if they are really his photos.

You are not allowed to use other people's subjects without their permission.

Of course you may. I'm quite flattered.

Bloody cheek, of course they are my photos, if you download them you will see they were taken on my camera, Samsung, on Sunday, hell it probably even tells you the time.

Taken with my Sony 4 mp point and shoot. These are my pics. The other photo of the Lotus I took at Suan Pakkard Palace on Phayatai road a couple of months ago.

So thats what the roof garden is for.

Well we have all seen these orchids and I have watched hundreds of these die over the years, so maybe I should just stick with pictures of them.

    Dok Lak

These things grow wild and are a favorite for making garlands. I think the English name is Crown Flower, or something like that.

They can be a bit of a nuisance as the seed pods release this fluffy junk with the seeds that tends to collect everywhere; especially on window screens and air con grills.

Well, they're cheap, just keep buying.

We have a neighbor like that. Every few weeks I raid her rubbish bin and get perfectly fine plants on which she's given up because they don't have flowers any more or look dead.
