Has anyone tried to grow olive trees in Isaan?
I don't mean the larger Thai olives but the mediterranean type olives.
Having persuaded the wife to try them, she now eats them more and more and wants to grow a couple of trees on our land. I am not thinking of growing them for the oil but more for pickling the fruit.
Has anyone seen any in Isaan? They don't like wet feet or cold temperatures but I can't see why they wouldn't be reasonably successful growers.
Has anyone seen any trees for sale and at what size / cost?
Any information on locally grown trees and problems associated with them would be gratefully received.
Thanks....Troy
