Administrative body of the Act is
ฝ่ายกักกันพืช กองควบคุมพืชและวัสดุการเกษตร กรมวิชาการเกษตร โทร 660-2940-6573 ต่อ 108
Plant Quarantine Sub-Division, Agricultural Regulatory Division, Department of Agriculture 660-2940-6573 Ext 108
Plants are categorized in "prohibited", "restricted", and "unprohibited" materials.
applying for import permit, get issued a phytosanitary certificate, import of non-prohibited life plants,
Although import permission and phytosanitary certificate are not required for non-prohibited materials, it might be helpful (e.g. to speed up the process of inspection at port of entry) to have such documents.
Hope it helps

I may be stupid but were does it list what is prohibited and what not. These will be orchid cutting's for growing vanilla
the idea was to let you know that there is a list, and then you would have to go and search for yourself on the
Department of Agriculture website,
but vanilla will be just fine
Oh afghan, you are clearly not stupid, but you seem adventurous that';s for sure.
5 yrs in afghanistan will do that to you.
i saw the ag website but it was all in thai will look again
If border crossing is too much of a hassle, you can always ask a gardener in CM for a few cuttings of Vanilla planifolia...
You know this book, btw? 300+ pages of technical info but indispensable if you want to start a nursery. PM me if you cannot find it on the www.
