Same here, but we are still selling [gate] when any of the plantations get 4 or more taps in, need the beer money.
On a brighter note, seems there is will be a shortage of rubber this year.

How are you doing now apart from not owning the land?

Sold cup at auction yesterday, 18.02 baht per kg.
Worst price received in 8 seasons of tapping.
Local gate prices 14-15 baht per kg.
Makes one wonder, China bought 1/2 of Thai Hua rubber this week, how many of the other rubber houses does China own large share blocks off.
Nothing illegal about owning shares, or controlling interests in export companies, but, if you are big enough, you control the market.
Indian tire companies are crying poor as they can't source enough rubber locally and there are import restrictions plus a 25 % import tax.
Thai Government is getting a bit worried about the prices and has passed a rubber subsidy of up to 16500 Baht for registered rubber plantations, payable in January, but few small farmers are registered.
As said, I'm big enough to get by, but it will be one tight dormant season, the bank of agriculture has written to us about offering low interest loans, need loans to repay like a hole in the head.
Will get through this down turn, just like the others, but getting sick of not being able to plan anything more than a month ahead.
Wanted to plant coffee, need a loan, wanted to buy a house in Ubon, need a mortgage, just don't want to put the kids future in the hands of a bank, who will take those assets away if you can't pay.
