Way to get a turtle when armed only with a "kilipati" (#8 wire or 1/4 inch rod spear loosed from a rubber sling); Aim for a front flipper. The turtle will take off over the reef (and they can put on a turn of speed!), or if in deep water, dive, but will swim in a wide circle whereupon it will eventually resurface near you and you'll be able to manhandle it.
That picture of the two salmon is a work of art.

Mantas have the largest brain to body size of any fish and are smarter than Dolphins - apparently, i just think they are great and have always wanted to dive / swim with them, one day....
