I learned early from lying teachers that pi = 22/7 or 3.142857 recurring, an easy enough answer I was happy to pack into my knowledge bin, then about 50 years ago discovered it's not precisely 22/7 but more or less. Still not over it!
No doubt pi to trillions of digits has already been studied, and the longer being suited for patterns to emerge, though they would more likely be spotted by computers than kids on a disused runway.

Reminds me of my very first attempt on bowling. Swinging the heavy ball in a curve had a similar result. But it also led to a cute young lady showing me how to do it properly.
