Protesters in Alexandria voicing their opinion
At least 13 people including 2 children have died following clashes between soldiers in the volatile south Sudan town of Malakai. Southern Sudan is due to become the world's newest nation on 9 July 2011. It's referendum is part of a deal to end decades of conflict between the north and south
Roads being constructed in the region
Despite the construction boom, southern Sudan remains one of the least developed nations in the world if people choose independence. Corruption and military spending being the main causes. (heard that before somewhere?)

Fantastic thread Mr Lick keep up the good work.You missed a good shot though of a certain English Gentleman's facial expression after waiting for 45 minutes for a Pepper steak in the Smile restaurant in khon Kaen to be asked what meat do they use to make it with.That look of stunned frustration was indeed priceless.
