The Cassini spacecraft captured this view of five Saturnian moons, plus the planet's rings, in this image from July 29. Janus is on the far left. Pandora orbits between two of the rings near the middle of the image. Brightly reflective Enceladus appears above the center of the image. Rhea is bisected by the image's right edge, and Mimas can be seen beyond Rhea, just to its left. Saturn itself is not visible in this view ... only its rings.

The chief of Libya's revolutionary movement told thousands of cheering Libyans in Tripoli Monday to strive for a civil, democratic state, while loyalists of the hunted dictator Moammar Gadhafi killed at least 15 opposition fighters in an attack on a key oil town in Libya's east.
Mustafa Abdul-Jalil addressed a rowdy crowd of thousands in Martyr's Square in central Tripoli, a site that until recently was famous for pro-Gadhafi rallies. Flanked by a few dozen revolutionary leaders in their largest public gathering since rebel forces stormed into the capital on Aug. 21, he called on Libyans to build a state based on the rule of law

Susan Powell and Emerico Perez Jr. pose in Fort Worth, Texas on Sunday, Sep. 11, 2011, with the army dog tags that belonged to Powell's late husband, William Michael Fitzgerald, who served in Vietnam. Perez bought a 1968 Camaro that once belonged to Powell, and in the course of restoring the car, the dog tags were found in a space behind the rear left wheel. Perez, with the help of the Star-Telegram, tracked down Powell and returned the tags.

People cry as they observe a minute of silence at 2:46 p.m., the time that the 9.0-magnitude earthquake hit six months ago, as they commemorate the victims of the March 11 earthquake and tsunami on September 11, in Minamisanriku, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. The earthquake triggered a tsunami wave of up to ten meters which engulfed large parts of north-eastern Japan and also damaged the Fukushima nuclear plant, causing the worst nuclear crisis in decades. The current number of dead and missing is reportedly estimated to be 22,900.

An employee of funeral operator Lastel adjusts flowers inside a viewing room where coffins are delivered through hatches whenever friends and family come to pay their respects to the dead during a photo opportunity in Yokohama, south of Tokyo September 10, 2011.

Across from a noodle shop in a Yokohama suburb, Hisayoshi Teramura's inn looks much like any other small lodging that dots the port city. Occasionally, it's even mistaken for a love hotel by couples hankering for some time beneath the sheets.

But Teramura's place is neither a love nest nor a pit stop for tired travelers. The white and grey tiled building is a corpse hotel, its 18 deceased guests tucked up in refrigerated coffins.
"We tell them we only have cold rooms," Teramura quips when asked how his staff respond to unwary lovers looking for a room

Ban for actress Nikhita Thukral over Darshan 'affair'

Nikhita Thukral denies any romantic links with Darshan

Film producers in southern India have banned actress Nikhita Thukral from Kannada films for three years over an alleged affair with another actor.

The Kannada Film Producers' Association imposed the ban on Ms Thukral saying she had spoiled the "domestic harmony of a fellow actor".

She denies having an affair with the actor, known as Darshan, a popular action hero in southern India.

Ms Thukral, from the state of Punjab, said the ban is "ridiculous".

She says that nobody ever consulted her to get her version of events.

The move comes after Darshan was arrested on charges of domestic violence three days ago, following a complaint from his wife, Vijaylakshmi.

She alleged that he had beaten her and threatened her with a gun but she later withdrew the complaint, a police official told the BBC. The argument was reportedly over the alleged affair with Ms Thukral.

After his arrest, hundreds of Darshan's fans held protests in Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka state, forcing police to use canes to disperse stone-throwing groups.

The Kannada Film Producers' Association says that Ms Thukral has created trouble in Darshan's domestic life.

"If Nikhita [Thukral] apologises for her behaviour and says she will just work in films and not get involved in domestic affairs of fellow actors, we will withdraw the ban," association president Munirathnam told the BBC.

He said it was the first time such a ban had been imposed on an actress adding that "it is a lesson for others".

Ms Thukral has acted in several Telugu, Tamil and Kannada films has consistently denied any romantic links with Darshan.

"There's nothing between us beyond a professional relationship. If Darshan has a problem with his wife, how am I responsible," she asked?

The association said the actress was free to challenge the ban in a court.
