A Newcastle footballer who said the team's sponsor clashed with his Muslim beliefs has been criticised for visiting a casino.
Papiss Cisse has been refusing to wear the loan company Wonga-branded strip.
However, it has now emerged that the Senegal striker was spotted at Aspers Casino in the city in November.
His agent said that he was not a gambler, but a Muslim councillor said Cisse would be letting Muslims down just by visiting a casino.

Montenegro gay activists march during the first ever Pride event in the Montenegrin seaside resort of Budva. Dozens of extremists shouting "Kill the gays" attacked the marchers as they gathered for the event in staunchly conservative Montenegro. The assailants threw rocks, bottles and other objects at the 20 activists and supporters. Police intervened to push the attackers away and the event continued as planned.

The bronze Boxer of Quirinal, also known as the Terme Boxer, is photographed after returning from New York to Rome's National Roman Museum. The bronze statue is a Hellenistic Greek sculpture dated around 330 B.C. of a sitting nude boxer, still wearing his caestus, a type of leather hand-wrap. He has a muscled torso, a scarred and bruised face, cauliflower ears, broken nose, and a mouth suggesting broken teeth and he was discovered on the slopes of the Quirinal in 1885, possibly from the remains of the Baths of Constantine.

Unfortunately this is an all too familiar scene. A man tries to salvage his belongings following a fire that destroyed a shanty town in Pasay city, south of Manila. Authorities reported more than 400 families lost their homes after a fire of undetermined origin razed at least 250 shanties and damaged a school. Thankfully no one was reported hurt.
