    Fox was ambushed and killed by a hit-and-run suspect whom he and his K-9 partner, Nick, were pursuing on foot on Sept. 13 in New Hanover, Penn. Fox, a U.S. Marine who served two tours of duty in Iraq, died from a single gunshot wound to the head.

    The suspect, Andrew Charles Thomas, 44, of Lower Merion, committed suicide, shooting himself in the chest, according to the county coroner’s office

    The space shuttle Endeavour leaves Kennedy Space Center for the last time in Florida, on the morning of Sept. 19. Endeavour, attached to a NASA modified 747 aircraft, is on the first leg of its trip to the California Science Center museum where it will be put on display.
