The Hartsdale Pet Cemetery, established in 1896, is the oldest pet cemetery in the United States and serves as the final resting place for tens of thousands of animals. Pet owners can spend as much as $20,000 for a large plot to bury multiple pets and as little as $300-400 for small plots to bury ashes if they choose cremation. Pet owners also have the option of eventually having their own ashes buried in the plot, alongside their pets.

Michael Kelion hands out burgers at the Granard Ave. street party as the feasting is in full swing. Around 200 people sat down to share in a Jubilee lunch.

Georgina Spry, 35, had been up since early Saturday morning, decorating her house on Worfield Street. Cardboard cutouts of the Royal family had been put in the bedroom windows. "The Queen's wearing my wedding dress. It looks good on her," she said. "I love this - especially getting so much done before the baby wakes up."

The Worfield Street jubilee party was sponsored by an English sparkling wine company - with catering provided by a local chef. "As I don't have to worry about cooking", she told me, "I can concentrate on getting the house fit for a queen."

Fatal shooting at Toronto's Eaton shopping centre

One person has been killed and seven others injured in a shooting at Toronto's main central shopping centre, Canadian police have said.

Witnesses described scenes of panic after gunfire broke out in the food court of the Eaton Centre.

"A herd of people were just running toward us, screaming, running, freaking out," said one shopper.

Police said two of the injured were in a critical condition and warned that they were still hunting the shooter.

A 13-year-old boy was among those seriously injured.

Officials said a 25-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

As crowds gathered outside, an injured man with two bullet wounds in his chest was wheeled out on a stretcher and rushed away by ambulance.

Toronto police chief Bill Blair described it as a targeted shooting in which bystanders were also hit.

"The nature of the wounds indicate this individual was targeted," he said.

"A lot of innocent people were hurt and a lot of innocent people were put at risk.

Desperate Housewives actress Kathryn Joosten dies

US TV actress Kathryn Joosten, best known for her roles in Desperate Housewives and The West Wing, has died.

Joosten, who was 72, died in California of lung cancer, 11 years after she was first diagnosed with the disease.

The actress won two Emmy Awards for playing nosey neighbour Karen McCluskey in suburban drama Desperate Housewives.

She had previously portrayed Delores Landingham, the secretary to fictional US President Josiah Bartlet, played by Martin Sheen, on The West Wing.

Joosten's family said in a statement that the actress was "surrounded by love and humour 'til the end", adding: "We are laughing through our tears."

Joosten did not begin her acting career until the age of 42, having worked as a psychiatric nurse at a medium security hospital unit in Chicago.

But after getting divorced and hearing her mother's deathbed regrets at not having pursued her dreams, Joosten decided to revisit her childhood passion for acting and became involved with her local community theatre.

She then worked as a street performer at Disney World in Florida before moving to Hollywood in the mid-1990s and winning small roles in shows including Murphy Brown, Frasier and The Drew Carey Show.

Cargo plane hits bus in Ghana airport crash

A cargo plane has crash landed in Ghana's capital Accra, hitting a bus full of passengers, officials say.

Ten passengers on board the bus were reported to have been killed while all four crew members survived.

Local TV showed the heavily damaged Boeing 727 Allied Air plane lying across a road close to Kotoka International Airport.

Ghana's airport operator said the plane, which had flown from Lagos, Nigeria, overshot the runway.

It said in a statement that the four crew members were receiving treatment at an airport clinic.

"The aircraft collided with a minivan, resulting in 10 confirmed fatalities," the statement added.

Police and troops cordoned off the scene following the incident just after 19:00 GMT on Saturday.

Ghana's Vice President John Dramani Mahama told reporters at the airport that a thorough investigation would be carried out.

"No early conclusions should be drawn. We should allow investigations to arrive at the actual cause. But I can assure Ghanaians that the situation is under control," he said.

TV star Richard Dawson dies at 79

Richard Dawson, the English-born actor and TV host who found fame in the US at the helm of game show Family Feud and in sitcom Hogan's Heroes, has died.

Dawson, also a former husband of actress Diana Dors, was 79.

Born in Gosport, Hampshire, he played Corporal Peter Newkirk in World War II comedy Hogan's Heroes for six years.

He became a panelist on TV show Match Game before hosting Family Feud for 10 years. Family Feud was copied in the UK under the name Family Fortunes.

He was Family Feud's first host when it launched on the ABC network in 1976 and won a daytime Emmy Award in 1978 for best game show host.

Known for giving the female contestants a kiss, he met his second wife Gretchen when she was a contestant on the programme in 1981.

He left the show in 1985 but returned for one further series in 1994.

And he was not afraid to play on his TV persona when he appeared as the ruthless game show host Damon Killian alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 1987 film The Running Man.

Thongchai Jaidee secures Wales Open victory

Thailand's Thongchai Jaidee hung on to take victory at the Wales Open and claim his first victory in Europe.

A one-over-par round of 72, including carding 39 on the front nine, was good enough for the former paratrooper to win on six under par at Celtic Manor.

Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano, Richard Sterne, Thomas Bjorn and Joost Luiten were all tied for second on five under.

England's Ross Fisher and Ireland's Paul McGinley finished one four under, with Paul Lawrie a shot further back.

Tiger Woods wins Memorial Tournament to tie Nicklaus

Tiger Woods conjured a piece of magic to clinch the Memorial Tournament and secure his second title of the year.

Woods's stunning chip-in on the short 16th was the decisive moment in a fifth Memorial win to equal Jack Nicklaus's total of 73 PGA Tour titles.

The former world number one shot 67 to end nine under, with Andres Romero (67) and Rory Sabbatini (72) two behind.

"That shot on 16 was one of the best I've ever seen," said Nicklaus to Woods behind the 18th green.

"Thanks, I appreciate it. Not bad, huh," Woods smiled back.

On tieing tournament host Nicklaus on 73 wins, Woods said: "It's special for me to do it here, to do it with Jack here. He means a lot to all of us as players.

"We all looked up to him, and he's the greatest champion that's ever lived."

Colombians march in honour of Bogota rape victim

Thousands of people joined a march in the Colombian capital to demand justice in a case of rape and murder that has shocked the country.

Rosa Elvira Cely, a single mother who worked selling sweets in the streets of Bogota, was attacked on 23 May. She died four days later of her injuries.

Her story has led to an outcry in Colombia, where more than 51,000 women were victims of violence last year.

Demonstrators called for tougher punishments for rapists.

Politicians, musicians and peace activists were among the thousands of people who gathered at the National Park, in the centre of the capital.

Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos wrote on his Twitter account that he supported the march, saying: "All Colombians reject any form of violence against women."

Rosa Elvira Cely, 35, was found semi-naked and with signs of torture in the middle of the night at the National Park.

She was discovered after making a call to an emergency line from her mobile phone.

After his cat Orville died, Dutch artist Bart Jansen decided to give him a new lease of life … by having him stuffed, attaching propellers to him and flying him around as a radio controlled helicopter. He's now on show at an art festival
