Latest image of the far side of the Sun based on high resolution data taken by NASA's two STEREO (Solar TErrestrial RElations Observatory) spacecraft on February 2, 2011 at 23:56 GMT when there was still a small gap between the STEREO Ahead and Behind data. This gap will start to close on February 6, 2011, when the spacecraft achieves 180 degree separation, and will completely close over the next several days.

The Google Body app is shown on Google's latest version of the Android operating system, Honeycomb, on a Motorola Xoom tablet device following a news conference at Google Headquarters in Mountain View, California February 2, 2011.

In this image released by NASA February 1, 2011, during its one-year mission, NASA's Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer spacecraft, or WISE, mapped the entire sky in infrared light. Among the astronomical bodies that have been discovered by the NEOWISE portion of the WISE mission are 20 comets. This collage shows those 20 new comets, most of the comets are named WISE. Comets are named by the International Astronomical Union?s Minor Planet Center, and the names indicate the circumstances of discovery. The colors in the pictures are representational. Infrared light of 4.6, 12 and 22 microns is colored blue, green and red, respectively. The light emitted from comets in infrared is due to their temperatures, so the cooler objects appear to have more red, while warmer objects will appear more bluish.

A spokesperson of Swiss air rescue (REGA) shows the new "iRega" iPhone rescue application at Zurich Airport in Kloten, February 8, 2011. The smartphone application sends the applicants' position to the rescuers and was used for the first time successfully during the past weekend.

Google aims to bring the world's great art galleries into the home with a new website that offers virtual tours, the ability to build a private collection of masterpieces and ultra-high resolution images.

A woman picks up Toshiba's REGZA smartphone at an electronic shop in Tokyo January 31, 2011. Japan's Toshiba Corp's quarterly profit more than doubled, driven by a boom in sales of NAND flash memory chips and liquid-crystal displays used in tablets and smartphones but it stuck with its full-year outlook.

Particle debris in Jupiter's atmosphere is seen after an object hurtled into the atmosphere on July 19, 2009, in these infrared images obtained from NASA's Infrared Telescope Facility in Mauna Kea, Hawaii, and released by NASA January 26, 2011. The image on the left was taken July 20, 2009 and the image on the right was taken August 16, 2009. The impact and its after-effects can be seen as the bright spot on the lower left of the July 20 image and as the bright smudge on the lower left of the August 16 image. By August 16, the debris had been sheared apart to a larger extent by Jupiter's winds. A hurtling asteroid about the size of the Titanic caused the scar that appeared in Jupiter's atmosphere on July 19, 2009, according to two papers published recently in the journal Icarus.

A woman walks at Nintendo Co Ltd's showroom in Tokyo January 27, 2011. Nintendo Co Ltd reported a 46 percent fall in quarterly profit, as sales of its ageing DS handheld device tumbled ahead of the launch of a new, 3D-capable model next month.
