My Photos of the Aftermath - blood, skull and tanks.

Just back from a ride down to Pan Fah and Khao San. The place is utterly destroyed... shot up pick up trucks, seized and looted tanks, overturned army hummers, trails of blood on the pavement, bits of skulls being shown off.

Seriously, it's like a bomb went off. (sorry )

(will upload and edit 10 pics at a time, so might take a while for all to be uploaded)

Democracy Monument shrouded in red. (note the 2 farang posers getting their pics taken dressed in red.)

    First shrine on the corner.

Directly in front of Khao San.

    showing off a skull fragment:

said skull fragment on sleeve of red shirt:

    the third red shirt shrine:

Just down the road and the first shrine for a soldier.

the barricade of pick ups that were completely destroyed with bullets.

(next 10 pics will be of the bullet riddled pick ups)

    Sobering pictures. Thank you.

The difference in depth of money in the various collection boxes/buckets is interesting.

Will just add as opposed to editing. Next shots of the pick up truck barricade, 5 metres down from the Burger King entrance to Khao San.

Next to come are the bullet riddled building and people dancing, playing and urinating on the captured tanks.

strange nothing like this in the BKK post today, has headline battle for Bangkok with a stricken soldier being held up by his mates on the front page, little from the other side.

    Some bullet damage:

Think it was 5 tanks they had captured. All completely ripped to pieces.

The army are mostly just rural kids who have little appetite for killing their own folk, otherwise how could the reds capture amoured vehicles? Who would have thought rubber bullets could do so much damage

Army openly states they use live ammo for protection. A guess but the plastic bullets are the ones they use in shotguns. The rifles are the real thing.

Odd they felt they needed protection from a pickup barricade.

I wonder if this is what stopped the army last night. Maybe the commanders got the impression their orders would not be followed?

So much for the truthfulness of the government claims only riot control equipment was used from their side.

They were using rubber-coated steel bullets. No wonder people were being killed.

At least the kids had something to play on:

People clambering all over destroyed tanks with democracy monument shrouded in red behind.

Wonder why this shot hasn't been on the front page of the media.

Anyway, so I climb up on top for a better view, turn around and there's a guy pissing on the gun turret behind me!

Not in front of his friends, not to be the big man, just quietly, alone, pissing on the guns.

As I recall there were 5 armoured cars/tanks, 2 troop carrying trucks, and 3 or 4 hummer/jeeps captured and destroyed.

    Some more to come...

Including quite a bit of blood.
