weird *hugs goddess* I am sure you know what you are talking bout hun, and just as sure it is none of our business

moving on, don't give up Marmite, I had a nice long reply typed out last night and then when I hit post my comp froze so I swore kicked it and went to bed

so imagine I gave you a lovely long caring reply, k?

Lovely Pic CS... thanks for sharing with us

*rubs up against Njdesi* am presuming by your post that you are saying you are Hindu and aren't simply taking advantage of my interest in the belief system, lol - a bit of background, I read "Ka" by Robert Callisto and became besotted by Shiva... so I bought and read (bits of obviously) the Uanishads and the Bhagavad Gita - loved them both. I can't really relate to it as a religion, but as a cultural vehicle of myth, philosophy and poetry I am besotted

My favourite story is still that of the Lord Shiva, but I also love Krishna - and I am working on a collection of Hindu art, but it is a bit limited at the moment as I am fussy

my today was okay, but husband phoned from overseas today and asked me to go stay in the apt tonight as he flies back early in the morning and then goes abroad again shortly after and wanted to see me before he leaves.

I reasoned that I could watch TV if I did that - ha I miss BBC world

anyway, I am here now... sitting here missin' my new apartment thinking "why am I here? why am I here? why am I here?" I just hate upsetting him

randomly unrelated to anything I dreamt my friend was dating Russell Crowe last night, I was sooooo jealous, lmao

Well the gal has been hounding me to watch the movie Moullin Rouge for weeks now and so I had asked the folks at the video shop to reserve it for me and call me when it came in.
I woke to my mobile phone ringing at around 10.30 (this is Sunday btw) and it was the lad from Videoeasy just letting me know that the DVD was there and ready for me to pick up.
I breakfasted on mushrooms on toast before firing up the beast and riding up to the video shop. I had actually fancied a poached egg on toast but I had no eggs. Never mind. Sadly I had no real coffee either so I had to put up wth Nescafe Instant. Grrr.

I got the DVD and came back to the resort but just put it to one side while I busied myself with a spot of washing. I also managed to get a very nice session of washing up done too.

Shot off a few emails to a few folks and checked ajarn and here. I may have even posted some stuff but I really cant remember.

2pm rolled around and I am bored stiff so back on the beast for a blat out to Nudgee Beach. I sat for a while and watched the windsurfers doing their thing but even that got boring so I rode back to my apartment and made myself a nice chicken sandwich.

I left my computer streaming the BBC Worldservice so I was at least informed of what was going on in the world. Fok all, as it goes.

Sat back down and checked a few sites. Boring.

Looked at the cover of Moullin Rouge and saw that I had hired it for a week so I was in no hurry to actually watch it. I have never been a fan of smultz which is what I imagined Moullin Rouge was going to be, given MS's description of it being the ultimate romance and 'our movie'.

When she went missing the last time she told me that she had done so after watching The Phantom of The Opera. Sheesh eh?

Anyway, here is the thing. I eventually bunged it into my D drive and watched it and was absolutely engrossed. Moullin Rouge is a musical (I dont usually do musicals) set in 1900 Paris. The fact is that it includes so many modern songs that we all know off the tops of our heads, all of which are incorporated into a love story which is the basis of the movie.
It really was very good indeed. Very funny and at the same time dramatic.

The fact is that MS had been banging on for me to watch the movie because it does actually reflect our relationship.

Sadly, Nicole Kidman, who plays the female lead, Satine, dies of consumption in the final seen. I am played by Ewen McGregor, who is almost as good looking as me, and goes on to write the story of their love.

Very moving and I am now going to grow a beard and start wearing a hat.

If you havent yet seen Moullin Rouge then I can only suggest that you do. It really is very good.

Oh yeah, there is this song that becomes the theme of the love story about half way through called 'Come what may'. That song is the reason why MS was banging on about the movie so much because it does actually reflect our relationship and what has gone on to date.

I know you lot are generally quite cynical about love and such but I couldnee give a rats. I think the world of her.

hmmmm.......I reckon it might be just about time for a nice bacon and tomato sandwich.

Now I should like that film but I didn't... partly because I wanted to punch Nicole kidman throughout, and... I loved the visual style, but the story... and the singing - just no... didn't work for me

meh today has been a really difficult day, I won't go into details cos it is well... private I suppose, but if anyone wanders through with a few hugs to spare I could use them

Weeeeeel, another marvellous day for Marmite.

I got up late and phoned my mate who was staying in my spare room with his 'Bangkok GF'. He staggered out of the bedroom and we had a nice cup of tea (well, I did. His was shite 'cos I put salt in it instead of sugar) and chatted about the previous day's rugby (watch the Rugby Show on Star Sports (Monday @ 8.30) for all the details.

We had breakfast/lunch at the Old Dutch, before he headed off to referee another match. I did my usual posting shite on Thai forums and called 'Er Not Indoors Anymore. She offered to come over, but I declined.

My business partner (if we ever get enough money) came over and we went over everything. The pland still looks sound, but we still don't have enough cash to bridge the initial expenses to the tune of 300k.

He said that we should try to get another partner - easier said than done, but one can but try.

We then popped out down Cowboy, where I told the waitress in one bar that I was gay, so she didn't keep on hassling me to buy drinks for some of the girls. She proceeded to screech the message to everyone in the place. Nice.

*Telepathically projects a bear hug of a cuddle to Hiro*

    ~Scuba Diving Discussing~

Today I had an appointment with "josh_ingu" from ajarnforum. He helped me about Scuba Diving Course, his friend is a free lance diving instructor. I talked with the instructor, his Thai gf, Paul (their friend) and josh. Tim (instructor) gave me a book and 2 DVDs for learning if I really want to do it or not (I haven't started to read and watch them yet) the course costs 13,000 Baht for everything and he will teach me only, I mean no other students, only me, that's cool through. The course will take 3 days, 1 day in the swimming pool and 2 days in the sea just think about it making me get excited.

After that I went to my friends' drink shop, drank some beers and ate Somtum then came home.

    That's my sunday.

    Hiro,
To tell you the truth, I was just trying to hook up with the indian chicks at temple. I never paid attention when the priest was talking about the upanishads or bhagvad gita. They never went over the good stuff like the Kama Sutra (Fookin British and their Victorian morals f'up my dad's generation). For most Hindus, the philosophy is secondary. We have our own god for our caste. My family worships Sri Naji, the god of money (merchant caste). I give a few bucks to the temple, pray for cash, and I'm good to go. If you decide to go to India to study with a guru, make sure you chose carefully. Most of the gurus that teach English women use it as a way to score an easy shag. Hmm, not a bad idea. I'll set up a sign outside my estate:
"The Great Baba Ganush, helping western women find their tantric centers for six years."

anyway tomorrow wont be so good as it's me mates funeral, yep he has gone for the thai bbq, we all meet at the bar at lunch time and then all drive down to the old temple thingy, wander round for a bit and then they cook the poor fok, ok this temple probably has gas fired ovens, but i have been to thai funerals where they have just started a wood pile type fire and tried to cook erm on that, I don't think they eat them although I wouldn't attest to that under oath, I have seen what my staff are willing to eat, fok i hate funerals.....

there is a party type thing afterwards, but i should imagine this will turn into a bickering type thing over how his money should be split etc etc etc, I doubt whether he had a proper will as only this year he had got rid of his wife from hell and divorced the bitch and was hoping for a further 5 more years of life, and guess who is the only one that speaks thai and english, i won't be staying there for long, it aint gonna be fun....

Fok, 10 more hours then I got to go to the funeral, I foking hate funerals, when i was young i vowed the only funeral i would goto would be mine, in the uk i never went to one, i am slightly lacking in family so i never had that problem, as a kid i had one grandad who was a crazy fok and should have been locked up, i refused to goto his funeral, now i wish i did, but he was a crazy fok fortune teller, he used to do the old tarrot cards and of course the old crystal ball stuff, the crystal ball was wrapped in some dead womens clothing, black cloth, I only looked at it once as a child of maybe 12, but it was like a tv, whether it was my grandfathers interferance or not i saw my mom in a new dress etc in the old ball, I really hate this shite cos it freaks me out...

don't worry sweetheart it is just saying goodbye

go, pay your respects and then go out have a beer or lots and say goodbye in your own way, he is your friend, he will understand

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
(Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die.

I reckon you were drunk and decided you needed to speak to a real man so searched for someone in Australia.

Add you again? I never added you in the first place....don't take this the wrong way but I am more then happy not to talk with you...unless of course you have some stories to tell me about Marmite!

How many English men live in Australia?

Anyway onto more important stuff, we all well most of us meet at the bar at 12, then off we goto the old temple, now I could see it from the road, but every soi i went down to get to it ended up as a dirt soi that would need 4 wheel drive to get to the temple, eventually I found the right soi, parked up and looked around for the bbq machine, spotted the chimney and off i trotted, about 30 farangs there which was quite a nice turnout, in the last few years he didn't go out that much.

The monks started their chanting and I looked over to the computerised bbq machine, it had about 8 buttons on it and the coffin in front, one of the buttons was for the electric door thingy, some Thai guy was quite happily pressing the buttons to open and close the door,"swish" "swish" it went as he looked on with a happy smile on his face, he then found the starter button for the old gas, on and off he gleefully pressed it as he peered into the caverns of the bbq machine, he knew he had loads of time to play as the monks were still chanting, I am really not sure how I feel about that,it's like to my mind morally wrong, but how can it be morally wrong if basically the guy is dead and thats all there is to it,foked if I know.

Anyway back to the bar and party time, it was pretty good actually as a lot of the guys I hadn't spoke to in years, I may add to this about his ex wife later on, let me think about that one though....
