To be honest skype went mad tonight. I spoke to loads of folks. Even some idiot here in Brisbane who is a Damned fan who thinks I am that Captain Sensible. My problem is that I dont like being rude to ppl.
Funny thing is that I ended up dialling Hirondelle from my mobile coz I wanted to speak with her. I am glad I did. Hirondelle is solid gold.

    Get yer skype working gal.

    Well thanx dawg! ops:
There's always a poetic vein present in even the roughest of us.
Heck, even Marm's, let's call it for the sake of argument, a rapper's haiku:

    how much to shag you
    up the butthole, bitch

has a certain ring to it! 8)

hope ya don't shrink on us H... get used to it, many a time i've been knee deep in the shite wondering what type of new fungi would choose to use my legs as petri dishes...

get yourself a pair of flip flops (senior teacher shoes in waterproof bag) or start learning the art of parting waters as once old Mo did on his way to the promised land 8)

doing my best to keep this off topic

to make skype perform well it's a little bit more complicated than that Cap.
...actually properly configured Macs g4/g5 macmini ibooks etc perform quite well under skype
if you're not too finicky spending additional money like a couple three thousand baht to buy a
USB ready microphone and external sound card like imic, since these expensive machines like
g5s and macminis don't come with any hardware to connect a microphone to them,
compared to every lowly PC that for donkey's years have had said built-in feature

it's also a combination of how fast everybody's computer is,
if everybody is running on broadband and/or dial-up and
how many people are hogging all the bandwidth at the time of the call

Early in the morning connecting with a m8 of mine in Darwin -- he on dial-up --
the call is crystal clear. Once every Tom, Dick and Harry and Somchai and Manop get online
forget about using Skype with dial-up. We switch to Yahoo IM voice (the old Yahoo Internet messenger,
that is, not their last version 7... It aint worth a figg)

I use dial-up connection, I can talk with my friends via skype, yahoo or msn. Sometimes it's good but sometimes it's a bit weird.

yea we all can if the conditions are right but
skype is at its best if everybody is on broadband

YIM good enough for the rest of the time and on dial-up

MSM anything produced by Bill Gates I try to avoid installing since it is hard to entirely eradicate later on if not liked and many of his progs try to take over some ops on my machines... and lets not talk about self-corrupting files, security issues, unending update patches...

    okay, apartment still dry

*curls up with mug of tea and a blanket*

is it me or is it freezing at the mo?

anyway, mad busy day today... too many meetings, too much to do and tomorrow gah - don't even want to think about it

high point of the day was having my first mooncake of the season, lotus seed with no yucky egg yolks

low point of the day was wading through knee deep water to get to the sky train... carrying my senior teacher shoes and socks in a bag... a paper bag... that went soggy... causing my shoes and socks to fall out of the bottom into the flood

eh I have tummy ache now... think I caught sthg from the rain / mooncake, lol - just feeling sorry for myself & a bit grumpy / tired maybe

    *hugs all*

Well...trying to keep this topic on topic, I had my meeting with my secratary today and told her that her services were no longer required...

She took it rather well but the rest of the staff wont find out untill tomorrow and then i am sure there will be a backlash as she was the centre of the office....\

Feeling like a boody snake at the moment but I have to keep the business in the front of my mind and so will see how it all pans out
News is what someone, somewhere is trying to suppress - everything else is just advertising.

aw MeMock *hugs* sorry to hear that, I have been think bout your situation and was wondering if it was worth suggesting she job share - but it has clearly gone beyond that, even if your staff are upset I am sure they will understand - it is after all they who have been covering for her too
