Thanks mate for the link but I'm here on business and not much time for pleasure.

I did go to the museum though and got some great pictures of T Rex.

Denver is a nice place and I'll do a thread when I get back home.

looking forward to photos of the snow peaks of Denver. Safe travels LT.

Make sure you get a nice steak while there.

    Downtown Denver Steak Houses
Downtown Denver may as well be the steak house capital of the country – there are as many options for steak-lovers as we have days of sunshine. Ted’s Montana Grill (1401 Larimer St.) is an eco-friendly establishment that is as passionate about the environment as it is about a great steak, utilizing recyclable paper menus, paper straws and reusable glasses. If you're looking to try something a little different, Ted's also offers a selection of Grand Range Bison steaks. The Keg Steakhouse & Bar (1890 Wynkoop St.) boasts a casual atmosphere, and a friendly, knowledgeable staff. Their steaks are expertly grilled, and their prime rib is renowned among connoisseurs. Located in an renovated bank vault, The Broker (821 17th St.), offers old-fashioned ambiance and a menu full of dry-aged, prime cuts of beef, fresh Alaskan seafood, and Colorado lamb, which many claim is the best in the world.

Morton’s of Chicago (1710 Wynkoop St.) is a respected steak house chain that promises USDA prime-aged beef, fresh fish and seafood, delicious appetizers, and elegant desserts. Sullivan’s Steak House (1745 Wazee St.) is known for its Bone-In “Cowboy” Ribeye, which weighs in at a whopping 24 oz.! Elway’s (1881 Curtis St.), co-founded by former Denver Broncos Quarterback John Elway, boasts USDA hand-cut steaks, a fantastic raw bar, and other great dishes by acclaimed chef Tyler Wiard.

The Art-Deco vibe of The Capital Grille (1450 Larimer St.) coincides nicely with the restaurant’s impressive menu of nationally renowned dry-aged steaks and the freshest of seafood. Oenophiles should take some time to browse the extensive wine list, with more than 5,000 bottles from which to choose. At the Denver Chophouse and Brewery (1795 19th St., Ste. 100), you can enjoy legendary steaks, chops and seafood, along with handcrafted, brewed-on-site ales, small batch bourbons, and a fine array of single-malt scotches. Last, but by no means least, is the beloved Buckhorn Exchange (1000 Osage St.), just five minutes from downtown. The Buckhorn proudly serves prime-grade beef steaks, buffalo prime rib, elk, salmon, quail, game hen, and succulent baby-back pork ribs, all in a unique hunting lodge atmosphere.

More Steak Houses in the Denver Metro Area
Your steak house options outside of downtown are truly limitless. Elway’s has another location in the Cherry Creek neighborhood (2500 E. First Ave., Ste. 101), featuring the same excellent menu as its downtown restaurant. Keep your eyes peeled, you may catch a glimpse of the owner himself enjoying a steak with friends. Over at Englewood's Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar (191 Inverness Dr. W.), you’ll taste the finest USDA prime steak — aged to perfection, hand-cut daily and cooked to your specifications. In Greenwood Village, you'll find the popular Del Frisco Double Eagle Steak House (8100 E. Orchard Rd.), with plenty of mouthwatering steaks and a swanky cigar lounge, featuring nightly live jazz.

The last two steak houses we’ll mention are a bit further away, but they are absolutely worth the drive. The Fort (19192 Colorado Hwy. 8, Morrison) is one of the nation's most famous restaurants and sells more buffalo steaks than any other independently owned restaurant in the country. Featuring fine beef, buffalo, game and seafood, The Fort's menu offers a tantalizing selection of old and new foods from the Great West. Rattlesnake cakes anyone? Dig into a hearty meal at Simms Landing (11911 W. 6th Ave., Lakewood), with a menu of fresh seafood and steaks, and boasting what is commonly referred to as the best view in the Denver area overlooking the Mile High City in all its splendor.

and by the way, my throat is getting slightly parched, time for a few suds on the bright side, or dark side if that is what your preference might be, but it always brightens up my day.

I'm staying about 10kms north of the city with Boulder Colorado 10kms away further North.

Michael has taken me to some brilliant restaurants and for example a delicious strip loin steak, 6 huge barbecued prawns on a skillet with a lovely salad for less then 15 bucks.

The food and particularly the service here is the best I have had for many years.
