This has been my view for the last few weeks. From the 10th floor of St Giles Hotel in Feltham. Although it feels like they should be, those are blinds not bars on the window.

Thank goodness I will be back in Singapore on Thursday.
By the way i was at the indian corner shop pictured in the top left this morning and there was an old fella busy sending money to Thailand using the Western Union facility. He sent 120 quid and judging by the conversation he had with the shopkeeper this is a regular occurence. Maybe I should have asked him what his TV nick is.....

SlimFatBoy, Why you in hospital if you don't mind me asking? Were you given a kicking on your last visit to the Young Offenders Institution close by? ;)
At least when you escape it's not too far to the airport.
-
hospital? well the food is similar i guess
was it you at the Western Union?
-
I'm sure that said Hospital, did you edit it to Hotel??? Or am I so senile i'm send myself money via WU?
-
-
^^ i didnt edit it. you must be going senile.
apparently it used to be an office block before it was a hotel.
everything is shit about it except the 2 blonde Polish ladies working in the restaurant.
Goodness knows why the Korean guests keep taking pictures of each other standing outside this place

Some of you guys sure have found your own little piece of heaven!

One of my views (when visiting the in-laws) is my current avatar. My future views I posted in the "my piece of paradise" thread. I'll have to wait till I retire to enjoy those views, but I dream about them every day at work.

Thought I would update this with the views from our new apartment in Bishan, Singapore. We live on the 19th floor (out of 35). Apologies, but we don't have a pool view. The buildings in the distance on the horizon are actually in Johor Bahru, Malaysia

If you look in the right direction and squint a bit you can see the CBD
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...3/DSC00870.jpg
And if we can see the Singapore Flyer, I guess you can see our apartment from it too

As I'm in south-west Switzerland for a few weeks I'll show you the view from my appartment right in the center of the city, Martigny.
Looking to the north-west are the wineyards and the road heading to France through the Forclaz pass.
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...49/Photo01.jpg
Then the west and a view of the Forlaz pass; France is only 20km more.
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...49/Photo02.jpg
If I look out of the livingroom window it's a nice forest. Italy is only 30km behind this small mountain, in the south.
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...49/Photo03.jpg
And looking in the opposite direction is a moutain surrending the valley heading to the lake of Geneva, Lausanne and Geneva.
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...49/Photo04.jpg
The view is much better if you live in a building, but my appartment is on the first floor of a very old house.
A view to the north-east from the top of a building. A small castle from the middle-age.

Last Saturday morning I was a little bored so I decided to check out the girlfriend’s camera, for low level light pictures (works well with no flash in a dimly lit room) and high definition recording/videos.
Here’s the first high definition video I uploaded on Vimeo (57.1 MB for 60 seconds), of the girlfriend’s view from her BKK condo. But it doesn’t seem to want to play well when High Definition (HD) in “on” (maybe the connection speed here?). You might want to click on the HD sign to turn “off” the HD. It might play better.
You’ll hear a dog (maybe both) crying in the background (across the street). Don’t be alarmed. They are two very well maintained beautiful spoiled collies calling for the master's attention.

Actually my earlier post was a view from our house in Mae Tang at an earlier time, my current view is more like the following, Luanda Port, Angola - not so picturesque...
