^ vessel 'Nibha' likely at Tha Chalaep about 3km inland on the Chanthaburi River.
Still a river port, police patrol vessels and at times immigration staff there for foreign boats, as well as a base for the nearby National Maritime Museum archaeological diving teams.
A few years ago, maybe 2012-ish, there was a cunning plan to run coastal cruise boats from here to Cambodia but it never eventuated.
Across the river from here the British WWII minesweeper Minstrel (later in Thai Navy as HTMS Phosamton) is moored, restoration project abandoned it's now settling into the riverbed.
