HL those trams, had to google that and in a sign of the time i got a load of Trans sites ffs. Anyway turms out they stopped operating in 68, the Brits owned it briefly in the C19th. Trams were either locally produced Teak or imported Ali ones. Suppose its come full circle with the skytrain.

An interesting historical side note:
In the day, when horse driven and then electric trollies/street cars were the rage - Bangkok's system [late 1880's - early 1890's] surpassed any development that the European hubs had to offer. Quite astounding, actually, for the time. Expected, this superiority among the citified tram world was most assuredly short-lived.....

King Chulalongkorn visited Brevik in Norway in 1907, the king was very excited about this idyllic little town and in 2010 a statue was erected in the city in memory of his visit.
