That looks scary. :)
Hong Kong used to be scarier. At least at Mae Hong Song your the only plane coming in(or out).Domestic Thai pilots are generally pretty good
I recall the approach to the old Kai Tak Int'l Airport at Hong Kong. Quite the ride it was....at the time, it was considered one of the most difficult and dangerous approaches worldwide as pilots view. Because of it's location, pilots were asked to enact a quick 35 degree angle right over Central where it appear to be scrapping housetops. Most large commercial craft aren't built to perform eccentric aerobotics in the close range. The {relatively new} location over at Chek Lap Kok is much more apeasing to pilots of long-haul craft.

Still absolutely loving these pics.
Bloody great thread - thanks.
Have you ever thought of compiling them into a book - would go down well with tourists.
My brother lives here for 6 months a year and I showed him the thread he loves it and, while he is here, they have a stream of friends bumming free accommodation for their holidays :).
They always ask me "can you get a book with all these pictures in ?"
Documentary style about Isaan{ers} being invited by student radicals to discuss issues that effect them. Politically sensitive, as it expands on subject matter dealing with the student democracy uprisings of 1973-1974....enough said.https://teakdoor.com/images/smilies1/You_Rock_Emoticon.gif
