A noted trivial tidbit regarding the famous and long-standing clock tower within the Grand Palace/Wat Phra Kaew Complex......from King Mongkut's late reign into King Chulalongkorn's, this iconic sight had been modified or rebuilt up to four times over a period of some four decades - those that know the different appearances that it has taken from viewing old photos of the clock tower within the respective images - from the late 1860s through the 1870s and 1880s until the mid-1890s....the old clock appears different in comparison to the next, because it is.
