If I'm not mistaken, this is the official ceremony that inducted the young Rama V {Chulalongkorn} as 'The Crown Prince'...being offered for the people by his Father Rama IV {Mongkut}. So we are talking about 1862-3, as Chulalongkorn took the Throne in 1868, still a young man.

Giles Ungpakorn. Puey was an active member of the Free Thai Movement of WW2. Served as Governor of The Bank of Thailand. Dean of the Faculty of Economics at Thammasat University for 12 years and then seved as rector for the university. Heavily involved in democracy movements of the early and mid-70s, where he found himself involved in the Oct. 1973 coup/uprising/massacre. Forced to flee and becamed exiled. Finished out his life where he taught at The University of London alongside his dear friend Pridi Bhanomyong.
