^ I remember that.
We missed Butch Truck's death by suicide back in January of this year.
Greg Allman?

Again another supposedly super famous entity I've never heard of .
Very strange.
Maybe the world is really some kind of matrix and they are rejigging history.
Or just a mind game where they make and delete historical characters for fun.
I'm sure someone is inventing them and even giving them plausible back stories:
eg married to Cher + a photo to prove it !
but only for a week or so ... that's convenient.

A bit like this, but the mind control freaks have taken it one step further
https://teakdoor.com/data:image/jpeg;...swkAkLyzjT/9k=and instead of deleting they are adding people to history.
And you lot seem to be falling for it.
Butch Trucks, one of the Allman Brothers Band's founding drummers, died Tuesday evening in West Palm Beach, Florida. He was 69. Page Stallings, Trucks' booking agent, confirmed the veteran musician's death to Rolling Stone. The cause of death was a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the Miami Herald.

what nobody describing the bloke as a genius or an icon, makes a nice change. I had heard of him but never listened to his music that i remember
Best shows I ever went to. RIP.
Who wasn't with Cher?...From Warren Beatty and Gene Simmons to Eric Clapton, Val Kilmer and Tom Cruise, just to name a few...
The "vamp" got around...
What a sheltered life you have led Blue. Perhaps it explains your somewhat limited views on life in general?Quote:

At the risk of repeating myself, I grew up around Macon, Georgia where the Allman Brothers were living and recording for Capricorn. When Gregg Allman's brother Duane died, it was just before Halloween. My friends and I went to the funeral home very late on Halloween night when no one was around to take a look at Duane. I saw him there dead in the coffin and touched his hand. My claim to fame. :)
Great band. I went to college in North Florida (FSU), about 30 miles from the Georgia line. Redneck country. They were huge in that part of the US.
Eat A Peach is at the top of my album playlist.
Southern rock Blue. Not the UK southern bits. :)Quote:

Blue Peter legend John Noakes has died after a battle with Alzheimer’s.
The 83-year-old presenter was a family favourite throughout his television career.
Mr Noakes was Blue Peter's longest-serving presenter.
The Yorkshire-born star worked on the children's show for 12-and-a-half years in the 1960s and 1970s, when he developed a reputation as the show's action man.
He was also known for his partnership with canine stars of the programme, Patch, the first Blue Peter dog Petra's puppy, and the border collie Shep, who inspired his famous phrase: "Get down, Shep!"
His family said he died peacefully in his sleep on Sunday morning and that they hoped Noakes would be remembered for "his many escapades with his faithful companion Shep" during his time on the TV show.
Family friend Wendy Downes said in a statement: "John Noakes died peacefully on Sunday morning, May 28.
"He had endured and suffered from Alzheimer's over recent years and whilst he will be greatly missed by his wife, family and many friends, his release from continuing ill health must be counted as a blessing.
"His many escapades with his faithful companion Shep, during his time with Blue Peter, will live on in many peoples memories and that is how his family would like him remembered."

I miss Shep , :)
Aww, I used to love Blue Peter with John Noakes. He took on some very brave and compellingly daft challenges in the old kid's series. Most of which went out live, and created some utterly marvellous television. RIP Noaksey.

Former Panama dictator Manuel Noriega dies aged 83

Manuel Noriega ruled Panama from 1983 to 1989
Former Panama dictator Manuel Noriega has died at the age of 83 following brain surgery this year, Panama's President Juan Carlos Varela wrote on Twitter late on Monday.
Noriega, who ruled Panama from 1983 to 1989, spied for the Central Intelligence Agency until the United States invaded and toppled his corrupt government, ending a criminal career that saw him working with drug traffickers like Pablo Escobar.
Noriega was initially sentenced in the United States in 1992 but was serving a sentence for murder in Panama when he died.

Hard to respect a bloke with such a weakness of character….
Allman struggled for decades with cocaine, heroin and alcohol addictions. When the band chartered a Boeing 720 he was touched to find that someone had spelt Welcome Allman Bros in cocaine on the bar. The message was almost certainly the work of John “Scooter” Herring, their road manager, who served as Gregg’s personal valet and drug dealer. Herring was convicted in 1976 on five counts of conspiracy to distribute cocaine and was jailed for 75 years.
Allman testified against him in return for immunity from prosecution, a betrayal that resulted in the Allman Brothers breaking up and his bandmates refusing to have anything to do with him.
For years afterwards Allman was heckled at concerts by members of the audience shouting “Nark” at him.
because he took drugs or because he ratted people out?Quote:

Former Coronation Street star Roy Barraclough dies, aged 81
The actor played scheming Alec Gilroy on the ITV soap

Roy Barraclough - who played shifty Rovers Return landlord Alec Gilroy on Coronation Street - has died at the age of 81.
His passing was announced by his agent, who said that Barraclough had died today following a short illness.
As well as his stint behind the bar as the husband of Bet Lynch, Barraclough was also well known as one half of the Cissie and Ada double act with Les Dawson.
Prior to making his debut as Alec in June 1972, Preston-born Barraclough had previously played four different roles on the ITV soap, but it was his popular partnership with Julie Goodyear that made him a hit with Corrie fans.
After several departures and comebacks, Barraclough finally left Coronation Street at the end of 1998 went on to appear in Last of the Summer Wine, Last Tango in Halifax and All the Small Things. In 2006, Barraclough was also awarded the MBE for his charity work.
His last screen credit saw him playing Mr Grainger in the BBC's remake of Are You Being Served? in 2016.
Speaking last year, the actor criticised Coronation Street's plans to move to six episodes a week, saying: "I don’t wish them ill but I fear it will all end in tears – the quality is bound to suffer.
"The actors will not be able to cope, so they will inevitably have to get in more actors to play more characters. With such a huge cast it is very difficult to pull that off. Of course it can be done, but just how well is another matter. It is a mistake, it’s pure overkill."
But he did remember his years in Weatherfield with fondness, commenting to the Daily Mirror: "They were undoubtedly some of my best years. I look back on them with great affection."

Wetsuit pioneer Jack O'Neill dies aged 94
https://teakdoor.com/images/imported/2017/06/162.jpg
World famous surfer and wetsuit pioneer Jack O'Neill has died at the age of 94.
According to a statement released by his family the surfing icon, who was famously known for wearing a distinctive eye patch - the result of a surf injury where he hit his board while riding a wave - died at home in Santa Cruz surrounded by his family.
Described as "soulful and encouraging" in a post on the official Facebook page of the company he founded, Mr O'Neill was remembered for his passions as a "surfer, ocean lover, boating enthusiast, wetsuit pioneer, [and] balloonist".
Mr O'Neill moved with his wife to San Francisco's Ocean Beach neighbourhood in the early 1950s where in a bid to be able to surf longer in the cold Northern California ocean he began experimenting with various materials to create a wetsuit to protect him from the chill.
After experimenting with different materials he invented the first neoprene wetsuit - an invention that led to him setting up a surf shop, then another, and by the 1980s saw the subsequent O'Neill brand become the largest recreation wetsuit designer and manufacturer in the world.
According to his family he often look back on how far he had come, saying: "All my friends said, 'O'Neill, you will sell to five friends on the beach and then you will be out of business'."
In his later years Mr O'Neill set up the O'Neill Sea Odyssey - a marine and environmental education programme for children that was founded in 1996 and which he classed as his proudest achievement.
Talking about the programme he would say: "The ocean is alive and we've got to take care of it. There is no doubt in my mind that the O'Neil Sea Odyssey is the best thing I've ever done."
