I think it's fair to say I will struggle mentally to spend an entire year self isolating in Korat. But, I got back from Bangkok yesterday and at least I've held it together for the first 24 hours.

Anyway... was joined by a few well known faces today.

Hadn't seen TomCat for a while before he popped in...

    Snakeeyes was already here...

    As was Klong Toey...

And then along came Jack Meoff!

So, you started yesterday . . . after having been in BKK?

^ We are pretty much isolated here anyway... daughter's school closed a couple of weeks ago, pretty self sufficient apart from the occasional shop.

My daughter was long ago diagnosed with ADHD and needs meds for management. I wanted to stock up on the meds before/in case/when things get worse. One of those things that has been put off until things get better... until you realise it ain't gonna get better. So, had to spend a couple of days in Bangkok to get stocked up. Terrible timing, but better than putting it off indefinitely I think.

@mendip - great pics! Made me chuckle. Thanks for the effort! Do you have a backpack &/or hiking stick? That's how I would like to be portrayed. Cheers!

Yes, ain't that the truth. Stick it out, hopefully with a bit of humour, on here and other places

The wife just looks and shakes her head, the gardener just laughs (I can imagine what he's thinking) but the daughter is a very willing accomplice!

It's amazing the stuff you can find to do when you should be chest deep in a pond pumping out the sludge. Is it what you call delaying tactics?

Dan doesn't usually do requests... and she's all out of hiking sticks! But as these are special times...

Ms Katie setting out on a hiking expedition.

And resting her weary paws at the end of the day...

@mendip - that's brilliant! Thanks much - made my day! You got it, right down to the Merrell hiking shoes!

I do have a red-ish backpack (dark pink, twas a gift) and Merrell shoes. Now I have to find a pink hat like that one! Cheers!

    ^ No problem... thank Dan!

JPPR2 popped in earlier to admire the interior of my Vigo... he was well impressed with the wiring!

And later Headworx called in, all hot and bothered and complaining that he'd lost all his balls this morning.

I don't know how bad his round was, but he got bladdy sand everywhere.

These pics are sensational Mendip, but you've really outdone yourself with the socks and sandals pairing above ^^

^ mendip, these are awesome. You should think of doing famous people as dogs, do not post here, but do 50 or so and you have a book, with best seller potential.

    ^^They're pretty clever.

Not sure which I find more amusing: the thought that goes into them; the use of props; or the sheer number of dog models.
