Had a fantastic day in the countryside- even herded to goats with the nomads
Saw this dude making fast pace of it on the way out of UB- a wise decision. Also the vastness and stillness of Mongolia; totally unique.
After a few hours driving we arrived at a remote nomad camp- well these nomads have built a little house to make it more permanent and bearable for the winter months.
More gers!
Snacks included salted milk tea, dried curds, fried bread with yak butter- all yummy and fatty.
It was then time to get in the saddle, the last time I did this I would have been around 7
I got a steed that was barely out of ponyhood
Sheep go to heaven, goats go to hell! Stubborn beasts!
I think the most stubborn of all goats ended up in the noodle "stew".
He came to show us his strong nomad muscles, goof about and fall asleep on the floor.
It was then time to hit the road in search of wild horses- genetically they are supposed to be the closest to the "original horses". Doesn't look it, but it was bitterly cold.
Found some wild horses
