^ Would you like some Hermees jeans?
Seafood was cheap to mid-range depending on critter and amount. Nothing was more than 50 Yuan from what I could see. Lobsters were around the 26 Yuan mark for a BBQ stick of them. Liked the atmosphere of the place- bustling but also friendly. Nice that a lot of the stereotypes about China and the Chinese are mostly bullshit.

Saw the pigs once in Tesco Lotus- something had clearly gone a little wrong in the English translation as they were simply referred to as 'pig masks'. Guess I will be going as Peppa Pig for World Book Day.

The same can be found in Thailand in the larger Tesco Lotus stores.

Having some wiring issues at home which is stopping hard wired internet being installed, engineer is at work now. He's fiddling about with live wires; please don't die in my room!

School wise they are saying that the children must follow direct instruction in all lessons- so pretty much do the opposite of PYP, glad I've sorted that one out!

I'm sure "direct instruction" has a variety of interpretations. Pick the wrong one and it's no rice for you.

Macro as well. I do however see most Thais using plastic bags to select/pick up the meat and veg. IIRC in the UK the supermarkets enclose everything in plastic wrap these days. Due to "financial demands" by gangsters who allegedly "poison" some products.

I can't remember ever seeing a pigs head for sale in the UK, nor seeing insects for sale.

Good to see the sharks retaining their dorsal fins.

Wasn't too long ago, that one needed to make advanced notice - know someone that knows someone else - to secure a pig's head [almost always local]......usually coinciding with a special occasioned tamboon fest of one sort or another.

I get breakfast and lunch at school- quite curious to see what it will be and how they compare to Thailand and Myanmar.
Miss my moo ping and sticky rice breakfasts- my heart probably doesn't

But do you have a local 7/11? The language may be different but the contents will be the same.

We have 7/11 but it's not cheap! It mostly sells imported beers rather than loclas. Perrier over local brands and Japanese style bento boxes. I was pretty surprised, it's the only one I have visited, so could just be my area as I live in the CBD. Given the cars that I see going in and out of the garage of my apartment complex I get the impression that folks here aren't short of a few yuan.

For beer runs I have located a charming mom and pop store, which is much more agreeable on the old wallet. Speaking of wallets, most folks now pay with Wechat pay and I am a convert as someone who hates small change. They vendor simply scans your barcode or you scan theirs and it comes straight out of your bank account.

What 7/11s sell varies widely around Asia.

Or...take him to the nearest Walmart where they'll at least package him up properly.

    cheesing
    drugs

    Verb
To become high by way of snorting or sniffing cat piss. Cheesing can cause a psychedelic trip where the person cheesing visits a fantasyland where they get to fornicate with the boob princess. Trey Parker and Matt Stone discovered the miracle effects of cheesing.
