Caño Cristales (English: Crystal Spout) is a Colombian river located in the Serrania de la Macarena province of Meta. It's a tributary of the Guayabero River. The river is commonly called the "River of Five Colors" or the "Liquid Rainbow", and is even referred to as the most beautiful river in the world due to its striking colors. The bed of river in the end of July through November is variously colored yellow, green, blue, black, and especially red, the last caused by the Macarenia clavigera (Podostemaceae) on the bottom of the river

Watch out, wildlife photographers — a road traffic camera in Canada might be giving you a run for your money.
The CCTV camera captured a snowy owl in flight, looking stunning against a white winter background above a Montreal freeway.
The four photos, taken on the morning of January 3, were shared on social media by Quebec Transport Minister Robert Poeti.
"Magnificent snowy owl picked up by surveillance cameras of the road network on the A-40 in the West of MTL," he tweeted in French.
The bird, an official national symbol of Quebec, usually resides in province's north, although it will often fly south during winter.

McGill Bird Observatory director Barbara Frei said the owl may have been looking for a place to perch.
"I think they are attracted specifically to the highway because it has open, grassy fields nearby which is perfect for hunting their favourite prey, which is small rodents," she told CBC News.
"They like to get a good lay of the land and the high lamp posts or other posts that they can perch on while hunting just suits them perfectly.
"They'll migrate to their 'winter vacation', which can be all the way down to southern Canada, in the Montreal region or places in Ontario."
Wondering what the bird looked like in motion? Take a look at the four photos stitched together:

The lightning looks out of place. The rest of the picture is good IMO.Quote:
