Built in Germany at the beginning of the century and used as a German coast guard ship (and training) until the 70s . . . a stunning looking ship.
The Gorch Fock is still in service as part of the Tall Ships group in the German Navy

The Gorch Fock is one of 5 sister ships. This one was seized by the US as war reparations after WWII.
The other 3 ships (actually Barks (or Barques if you are not Merkin)) are school ships for Portugal, Russia and Romania.
