My moan is every time i try to post a get a message saying "you are number xx in a queue behind BLD"
I keep getting these...
Is the end nearly nigh again or has another 50 pence been put in the meter?
Shalom
Firstly a big thank-you for wishing me well with this infection. We caught it early, but it is still going to be a painful few days after surgery last night.
Apparently the doctor has seen 10 cases in the last week. A Danish guy is being treated here as well, left it later before coming to hospital and is in icu with nasty infection.
Careful in the wet season, make sure you don't walk around with any exposed cuts. One careless day is all it takes, especially if you have a weakened immune system.
Crikey, Troy. I had to look that one up. Not a fun read, although it did say that most cases clear up within a few days with treatment. Get well soon.
^ No idea. More than one type. Both by iv. One needs diluting with saline drop for me. I found it too painful at the entry point on its own.
Was hoping not to need surgery but it was worth it.
probably doxy 100 which is a ttetracycline and stops protein synthesis
A quick update on the leg; only about 1% dead material so not too bad. They cleaned it again yesterday, which was painful, but only during the process and only with morphine. I was given anesthetic when the cleaned today and sewed it up. Anethetist was a lovely lady, chatted away to keep me calm until I went under.
Still 5 more days of antibiotics and daily change of dressing and I got off lightly. I heard a guy from Iceland is in icu with the Danish guy with much worse infections.
The family of the 3 children came to visit. Their aunty is stayimg here to help wifey look after me. The eldest child is now working in Bangkok and sending half his wages home to help out. Father of youngest is looking after the other two with their grandma. That's a decent result and I have 10 bags of rice a year until they can buy the land back or inherit from me.
Its a moan and an article, sums up every fukin thing wrong with the UK and the cvnts running it, i dispair. THe establishment and legal system seem hell bent on supporting criminals at the expense of society which they are supposed to serve.
Hero officer sacked ‘because bosses feared his actions would undermine police’
Misconduct panel say Lorne Castle’s actions caused a ‘significant risk of reputational harm’ to public’s confidence in police
A decorated officer who arrested a teenage knifeman has been told he was sacked because his actions would undermine public confidence in the police.
Lorne Castle was dismissed for gross misconduct after tackling the masked 15-year-old suspect to the ground and holding him down while telling him to “stop screaming like a b----”.
In written remarks published this week, the misconduct panel said that “notwithstanding the absence of any evidence of actual harm”, PC Castle should have been aware of how his actions might be perceived.
Speaking to The Telegraph, Mr Castle, who previously won a bravery award for saving an elderly woman from a freezing river, said the findings showed “how absolutely out of touch” Dorset Police were with the public.
He said: “I think the body-worn video of the arrest does the opposite. I think the public, who Dorset Police are supposed to be serving, would be pleased to see police officers doing what they are supposed to do – arresting criminals”.
Since his dismissal, Mr Castle said he had received hundreds of messages from serving and former police colleagues offering messages of support.
The panel, chaired by Deborah Smith, the Assistant Chief Constable of Wiltshire Police, said: “We considered that there is a significant risk of reputational harm in that, the confidence of the public will likely have been undermined by the proven conduct, albeit harm has not been suffered by a defined individual or group.”
“Notwithstanding the absence of any evidence of actual harm caused by the proven conduct to [the suspect], PC Castle should have recognised the risks attached to his behaviour, including the likelihood of harm occurring and the gravity of that harm which could have been significant.”
The panel said the teenager was “obviously frightened and intimidated” and the arrest had caused him “distress, albeit not physical harm”.
The panel added it was “mindful”, when considering its decision, “of the depth of national concern in relation to the use of unreasonable force by police officers in the course of their duty”.
Mr Castle said that the suspect had been scared of being arrested, rather than being hurt, and noted he had not injured him in any way.
He said: “He wasn’t panicking about getting hurt. He was panicking about getting caught and being found in possession of a knife.
“The panel accepted I thought he was high risk, they accepted I thought he was a possible escaper, how then can they say the force I used, which didn’t create any injury, is excessive?”

The arrest took place on Jan 27 2024 in Bournemouth. Mr Castle, 46, was at the end of a 10-hour shift when the call about a violent masked offender came in.
Rather than ignoring it as other officers might, he responded and apprehended the suspect within minutes.
The 15-year-old he detained was suspected of assaulting an elderly man while riding an e-scooter before getting embroiled in a fight with another youth outside a McDonald’s.
Earlier in the day, at the start of their shift, officers were warned that a large gang fight had taken place in the area and potential suspects were still at large.
In the video, Mr Castle is seen holding the teenager on the ground while telling him to “stop screaming like a b----”.
A knife is also captured in the footage falling from the youth’s pocket.
The boy was not injured in the incident and was later given an out of court disposal for possession of the blade.
The misconduct panel found that there were a number of “aggravating factors”, including the fact that the suspect was vulnerable because of his age, which Mr Castle did not know at the time.
It also said the fact that as the most experienced officer on the scene his colleagues “took direction from him”.
The individual that Mr Castle arrested was not the one who complained about his actions. It was two of his colleagues who assisted in the arrest. Neither had been on the street for more than six months.
Positive references and ‘outstanding work’
Mitigating factors included the fact that it was “a single spontaneous episode” and he had been “acting pursuant to a legitimate policing purpose and had lawfully conducted the arrest [of the suspect]”.
The panel also noted that Mr Castle had no other disciplinary issues in his nine-year-long career. It said it took into account his positive references and previous awards for “outstanding work”.
Ultimately, the panel concluded Mr Castle did not treat the teenager with courtesy or respect, and that his shouting, swearing, finger pointing, taking hold of the boy’s face and throat, and suggesting the use of leg restraints were not necessary, proportionate or reasonable.
The panel found the force used to take him to the ground was necessary, reasonable and proportionate.
Four months before the arrest, Mr Castle had plunged into a freezing river in the middle of the night to rescue a vulnerable elderly woman.
He was given a police bravery award for his actions.
He has previously told the Telegraph that throughout the rescue he knew that if something went wrong with the rescue and she died, he could be done for manslaughter as police officers should not technically enter the water in such a dangerous situation.
Chris Amey, Mr Castle’s former chief inspector who has since left the force, set up a Go Fund Me page to support his former colleague, raising almost £115,000 so far.

^ Interesting to note it was his colleagues who reported the incudent. Grabbing kid by the throat is a little unwarranted to say the least. The kid was not wielding the knife, it was in his pocket. I'd have expected little finger behind the back treatment would have been more than enough.
All good deeds are undone by one bad one...
^ and he's sacked because it might undermine the police, you know not responding to burglaries or solving crimes, instead going after parents with 6 officers for making social media posts complaining about head teachers is the country we live in.
Yet again today, another 6 panda faced pakis indicted for "grooming", these cvnts from pakistan some of which have been sent down previously are still allowed to remain in this country. These convictions are despite the police and local authorities, there are down to the relentess persute by the families and campaigners - Starmer has refused a national enquiry,, instead fobbing those calling for it but even Andy Burnham who i loath is calling for one. Dare we acknowlecge the establishment were complict in covering all this up in Labour controlled areas - of course these were working class white kifir teenage slags,
