^ If there were flights between Korat and Bangkok, a grand idea. Maybe I should walk... then I'd have a chance of losing 20kg.

Incidentally, you do realise that 20 litres of water weighs 20kg? Those big water containers you see on the back of trucks in Thailand hold 20 litres... that's a lot of liquid.

Which brings me on to a compendium of moans.

I am heading down to Bangkok on Sunday for an offshore survival course on Monday, which as the likes of Dirk and HW will know is a moan all in itself. How I hate that HUET and really shouldn't be doing this shit at my age.

Then I was supposed to be travelling directly on to Norway... for my 'sojourn'... which had been arranged for several months... a good project.

But no... there's a problem with my work permit exemption, in a country I have worked in for 30 odd years... so everything is up in the air.

Has Brexit made it to the 'Daily Moan' thread recently? I doubt it as everyone must be benefiting hugely by now... it just keeps on giving.

Would this 'offshore survival course' involve a night of debauchery in a Patpong motel with 4 ladyblokes and trying to make it through to the next day with your watch and wallet intact, by any chance?

    No it doesn't.

But if you're still on for that, give me a shout and I'll try and arrange it for you!

Tis a day for frivolity and a bit of stirring

Just cracked my first beer for the day, having let the kids beat me in Mario Kart.

^ You've just reminded me that the wife claims Aussie citizenship (which I generally try to keep quiet but let's not go there...).

Maybe I'll try and get a bit frivolous meself, today!

Don't feel bad. Last year I bought a bicycle to go riding with my wife. First day we went out, did not even go a couple of miles and I got a flat, upon inspection there was a thorn that must had been in a perfect position to puncture the tire.
Had it fixed and been riding on it ever since.
The nail in your tire does not look to be at a bad spot, a patch, or inner tube should take care of it

ps: I was able to edit this post, so I am wondering if you perhaps have not paid your membership fee, if you like you can transfer the funds to me and I will take care of it for you

There is no inner tube, but I've ordered a new Continental Sportattack 4 (current tire is a 2) at 8,600b and will get this one plugged and keep as a backup.

So my moan...Why is that people here that are incompetent drivers complain about the way competent drivers drive?

I have been driving since 14. I have drag raced in the NHRA at speeds over 200 mph. Have raced motorcycles both dirt and GP. I have competed in a few Baja races as both a driver and co pilot. I street raced for years. I get in a car here and my wife and her friends who can't parallel park or back into a parking spot complain about me driving fast. I was coming back from the hospital tonight with 4 people in the car and all they did was make sounds and noises like they were going to fucking die. I finally laughed and said Poot MAK, you are all terrible drivers who do not drive with any sort of confidence.

I had a girl came to me yesterday and asked to rent my Honda Jazz for a month. I asked what her intentions were. Daily use? Commuting? Touring Thailand? Moving house?

The answer: I just got my license and I have a brand new Honda HR-V getting delivered in a month. So I want to rent your car to get experience driving first cos my boyfriend will kill me if I damage our new one.

    Right...

Not really a huge moan but a puzzle. When you put a wash on and it comes to the spin cycle and the whole machine is shaking because the garments are in a ball and not distributed. Happens every time when you put a duvet cover in with other items, the jeans and other heavy articles seem to find a way inside the duvet cover and end up as a ball. One of lifes mysteries like the sock thing. Stop the machine hoick everything out redistribute and set to spin.

It's cold here in deepest Bavaria, -7C this morning, it's been cold and snow since I came back three weeks ago. I reckon the wife got the best deal, staying in Thailand until the Spring.

I'm feeling utterly miserable, alone and out in the cold.

I reckon it's probably more fun watching WBA!...
