They really enjoy Geography A level, however they are not going down the "rock licker" career path (no offence Mendy).

Yes they're holidaying all free of charge in a fashion.

Why choose doing trips to Canada instead of the Alps?

It's all about the teachers choosing were they want to ho foremost because it's TRUE.
I worked with a head of year and he said the same thing.

If they did go down the 'rock licker' path, then at least they'd know that the geology in Iceland is very different to Snowdonia.

Anyway, why not let them be geologists? It hasn't done me any harm, look where I've ended up!

Between a Rock and a hard Plaice?

For the colonials Rock salmon, also called rock eel, flake, huss or Sweet William, is a dish popular in Britain, based on shark, often served as part of a fish and chips dish.

That was only until you reached 14 and left school, though.

As someone who does go on overnight school trips I can categorically say that it's not a holiday. It's exhausting.

Although they are primary so high school probably don't as many wet beds or kids missing their mums as we do.

I once flew first class on a rickety old Aeroflot plane. I had shit-loads of leg room but apart from that, the rest was awful. I'd rather have flown cattle class on any modern aircraft.

I have two moans already today and it's only 9am.

For some time on the way to school I have been educating the daughter on proper music played in the car on Spotify. To encourage her, sometimes I offer 50 Baht if she can name a song and artist and I've long been marvelling at her knowledge of 70s and 80s music.

This morning it was disco and as 'Yes Sir, I can Boogie' was playing, she claimed 50 Baht for the song name and the group Baccara. Then I heard sniggering from the back seat from her and her classmate.

It turns out she's logged in to my Spotify account on her phone and she can see exactly what's playing each time because they seem to be linked somehow, the bugger. She's taken me for 100s of Baht.

My second moan is that when I got home today I had a boiled egg for breakfast and while I was eating it the wife started frying chilli powder. I went into a sneezing fit with a mouthful of egg and toast and half choked, and ended up blowing chunks of toast out of my nose. It still hurts half an hour later.
