sitting outside hua hins market village shopping mall the other day we were watching the antics of the delivery drivers as they chatted away whilst waiting for their phones to ping, signalling that their orders were ready to be collected from any of market villages various fast food outlets, cafes and restaurants.

it was interesting to note that many of the drivers peeked inside the pizza boxes and other bags and receptacles as they smoked, chugged beer and chatted away before scooting off to make their deliveries.

it was also interesting to see how many of them actually sampled the food they and their colleagues were about to deliver. most just used their fingers but one of them actually brought a spoon out of his pocket.

they could have been at a buffet.

Yeah I was wondering who the hell uses these food delivery retards. Turns out a lot of TD wankers do. The whole point of fast food is to get something while you are in travel because you don't want to make something after you get home. Or just anytime you are out and about. But I guess people are sitting on their fat asses at home, and they decide "hey i wanna Big Mac" instead of making something. They could even make something quick like processed food at home but they're even too lazy for that.

And then there's the ppl who apparently order restaurant food and get it delivered to their fat ass at home. Because that way, they don't have to shower and get changed. Judging by to look of some ppl they dont shower and change anyway. They are just too lazy to drive.

I much prefer my own fresh,healthy home made cuisine.

While we haven't used food delivery often during the Covid pandemic, every meal came delivered sealed in a bag with receipt taped to the top. I have a hard time believing they get food, open it up and eat it. Not saying it couldn't happen but seems far fetched that Tax could witness it like he did.

regarding the food delivery lads, i was surprised not by what i saw, but by the nonchalance of the lads as they did it. i have never used food delivery, either in thailand or the uk, so i dont know how they seal the bags and boxes, but these lads just dipped in to a few bags without a care in the world. the thai are masters of illusion and if they were sealed with sellotape or a paperclip then it would not be too difficult, even for a chickenhead, to reseal without it becoming obvious to the "end users", who are usually so hungry and salivating so much after waiting for their food to be delivered that they just rip into the bags without checking to see if they have been tampered with.

We usually do for one meal/dish per day, someone gets a spankering for lasagna or khao kaa moo, much easier to get onto a known restaurant that makes them for a living with the press of a few buttons.

But wouldn't call them wankers, most are nice and friendly, especially the females. :-)

I agree. Again I haven't used food delivery much but every package delivered was taped or tied in a knot. So for a delivery guy to open it, steal a bit, reseal it then deliver it seems like a stretch. Again though, I am not saying some haven't done it but ol Tax commenting like they all line up, smoking cigarettes, drinking beer, stealing food from the deliveries is hard to believe.

Another reason I wouldn't use them is because you are inviting the lowest rung of society onto your premises. Some of them are spotting for their break and enter buddies. Hey this guy has a motorcycle , this guy as a nice barbecue sitting outside. This guy has a big screen and close to the window. How about that pressure washer over there.

Mark it in their phone and get a finders fee.
