I had a chuckle when I saw that you need to show 2 utility bills to hire a bloody car nowadays, like who has a utility bill posted to them apart from the 19th Century Brits? I hope they'll accept my EU driving licence (with the UK original number in small print at the bottom).

They are worried I might have Covid and bring it with me... I'm freaking worried I'm gonna catch it and bring it back! I'll be the one arriving in a HAZMAT suit!

The PCR test scam still continues. Here in Germany, anyone can pop off to one of several locations in any town and get a free PCR test. In the UK, you pay 50-100+ quid to get a kit to do it yourself and send in the results. Yeah, right...that's working really well innit.

Oh, and being little Britain, they see I have a UK passport and think I'm returning home. Not fooking likely, I'm off to report on how dire Brexit Britain has become.

Been a hell of a week....
Can be very hard on myself, especially when I found out that I've lost time and money working overseas... trying to get into full time teaching in Canada you have to start at the bottom and work your way up which can take time and definitely money. If I would have stayed her for ten years as opposed to teaching abroad, I would have been so much more well off today.. but would have, could have.... the whole system here is based on seniority with one board.
