The confusing part for a pikey is the sign saying it is free to take

My wife is in Wellington for a medical conference with the MoH, DHBs etc . . . until Friday.

Nope, that's not the problem . . . the problem is:

A person in Wellington from Sydney for a few days tested new-variant positive . . . and as no-one in NZ is vaccinated it can go sour quite quickly. So far four close associates are negative but they spent the few days doing lots of touristy things.

Mrs Hat's conference/meetings are less than 100 people so it will continue.

It may not sound like much but the NZ health system is always stretched as it is . . . throw a non-vaccinated population into the mix. Small chance of this going 'viral' but still.

    Damn . . .

Gyms and restaurants closed for a month. 14 months of this and it is finally mentally starting to mess with me.

Hang in there, it's been a trying time for everyone.

Try some home workouts if you can't get to a gym.

Learn to cook new things like me and experiment in the kitchen .

    Funny fooker

My moan is the bbc weather forecast being very unpredictable.

I get 30 minutes warning at 10.30 at night that theres a 46%chance of rain.

So I rush outside in the moonlight half pissed to try and protect my wooden construction with a 5m x 8m tarpaulin.

It's not pretty I fell over into a privet hedge and get attacked by a bamboo Bush.
    Shalom

It may not be the BBC at fault here...

Parcel from the UK still not arrived after over a month and my mouse has developed this annoying double-click thing so I keep inadvertently opening double browser windows / files.

It's too fucking hot here. All-time records are being smashed. No doubt when it cools down the smoke from the sure-to-be forest fires will arrive. Might be back for another moan about that.

Is that the US, Pacific North West? A friend in Seattle just sent me a pic of his thermometer at 93F.

I don't care about a pool because you have to be in the sun to use one. I'm trying to avoid the sun in this heat.

    That's miserable-hot . . . comes close to temps I experienced in Qatar . . . but they're normal there. Canada?? Crap.

I've been told by an expert that Expedia is good in Canada.
