Usually you cannot discharge without permission of the insurance company.

I know KW. If there is a chance, I will be all over it. Again it's not a big deal just hate hospitals in general. They are like super clean prisons.

Went to Global House in Nan this morning. They are doing construction outside the front of the building. I needed some cash to buy stuff and since I was using the wife's ATM card, it had to be from an ATM...cannot use it at the register. Well guess where the ATMs were. In the usual spot, but now inside the inaccessible construction zone. Big C and Makro scored those purchases today.

Well got the bone chip removed yesterday. Checked in a 12, was out by 3:30ish. funny process.

Arrive at 12, do a bit of paper work, go change into the full on get up, lay on the gurney. Nurse says it will be an hour. I laid there staring at all the nurses in a get up that if I sported wood it was not gonna be hidden so I thought of the Antarctica and being frozen. The doc shows up, we look at the X rays 1 more time. He goes over what he is going to do and says they will take me down to the Op room and knock me out. I said "Back the gurney up". I am not being knocked out for a minor foot surgery. He said "OK, We can do a local but it might hurt as I dig around for the bone chip and remove the tissue that has grown around it". I said "Have at it". Took them 30 minutes to prep the surgery room, He zapped me with 4 locals and off he went. I sat talking to the nurse (who btw was gorgeous). About 20 mins later all done. I head back to the recovery room and the nurse comes and says, "I guess you do not want to stay the night", I said "Nope, lets call it and where do I sign". She brought all the paperwork,, Doc signed off, I signed and got dressed and walked out.

Total bill was ~23k baht which 15k baht was just to do it in the surgery room. Insurance company paid in full. So it was really the best of both worlds. Top care and got to leave in a few hours

I have to say, BKK hospital in CM has some state of the art equipment in their surgery rooms. I had plenty of time to look at it all.

Yeah man. I hate being dropped into a drug induced coma while they all stare at you. Its only happened a few times due to some broken bone resets that required it . Coming out of it is really a bizarre feeling which is why I prefer and will endure some pain.

Had a friend that opted out of a general for a colonoscopy. Everything was fine until the gas they use to expand the colon started escaping up his throat. Guess it was a "never-again" moment.

Missed my turning on the motorway the other day.

Was headed for Bournemouth but ended up in Brighton.

Think I found Lost and Found. It was fuckin Baltic in there too. I couldn't do more than an ankle

Who needs sand anyway, only climbs right up your arsehole like Fritz's wife Wooly.

Those two balcony bummers would be in their element

Fritz there at 3am with his beach towel...

I am peeved about not having the freedom to post throughout the forum yet. I am being very patient. This long of a probation period is like not accepting new members. It has the same effect.

Still a good chance of stumbling across the corpses of all those dead girlfriends he left behind though.

Place must be vertiably littered with them.

Think you need 50 posts. The board was pounded with trolls and spammers a while back. Hence the period with training wheels.

A sleepy little forum village like this was bombed by spammers ? That's pitiful honestly.

Well, you certainly don't come off as an axe-grinding malcontent from Thailand Chatter in any way.

We went to visit friends in Munich yesterday with the intention of returning last night. After a day travelling around the city a decent meal and a watch of the football we said our good-byes and were about to leave when a dig in the pocket failed to come up with my car key. Lots of searching, but to no avail, I had lost my car key. We tried to think of the places it could be but we'd done an awful lot during the day and it wasn't possible to retrace steps at 11pm. We had been in my friend's car but they couldn't find it there. We decided to sleep over and think about it in the morning. Major problem was that the spare key was in our apartment and the apartment keys were in the car.

I didn't get a lot of sleep last night as I hunted through my mind trying to think of where the key might be. I have deep enough pockets for it to be pretty safe and, although I have lost house keys many times, never have I lost the car key.

Around 3am, I pictured myself holding the key while sat in the front seat of the friend's car. I put it in my front left pocket (as always) while sitting down rather than the usual stood up position. Before we got out of the car I called for a mask check, also in the left pocket. Key must be in the gap between seat and centre console. We checked this morning and there it was! Panic over and the mystery solved.

Wife is getting worried about the way I am losing things of late. Last week it was the mystery of the missing glasses, still unsolved and I am wearing my spare ones. This week the car keys, what's in store for us next week?
