It's what the cretin thinks is part of a daily cheer instead of actually following a thread - but then I guess with close to 300 posts in his 'first' month he's busy with typing, not thinking

My new glasses were ready for picking up today and very nice they are too. However, it is still quite cold here in Bavaria and pouring with rain. Mix that with a mask and you can imagine how quickly glasses steam up when trying them on. I tried to explain that the ffp2 mask they were wearing made it safe for me to take mine off but it was hard work so I gave up.

Too much thinking about things in the car park, paid the ticket at the machine but couldn't find the damn thing by the time I reached my car. Having retraced my steps and checked my pockets and wallet a dozen times, I found it in the shopping bag. Yep! you guessed it, by the time I got to the exit barrier it was too late and I had to go back to the machine.

Only a half moan since these new glasses are great, having broken my main pair and wearing my old spares, it's nice to be able to see properly again.

Never happened to anyone else ever . . . except for far too often. You're not alone, Troy!

    Here we go again...

From the Saudi Ministry of whatever...

Closing down cinemas, indoor entertainment centers, independent indoor games places or in restaurants, shopping malls, gyms and sports centers, for a period of (10) days, that may be extended.

^ welcome to the COVID world HNZ, if you've escaped months of restriction then really you should be posting in the Cheer thread

My moan is that in more than 5 decades of waking up, i would for once in my life love to wake up with nothing better to do than get angry at some anonymous nic on a forum for some insignificant shite they post. Try as i can, i just can't seem to envisage why the fuk you'd waste your effort on logging on to tick off posts to your daily list of nics you don't like. There are a few on here, i'd just love to be in their heads to understand that mentality (thank fuk i'm not).

Then make an effort, simple, and stop being such a cretin.

Why are you not still posting under your usual nic, NPT?

. . . actually no, I have no idea what you're trying to say - should that belong in the Brexit thread as well?

I usually do not have a daily moan but I had to laugh. So we have a nice room downstairs enclosed with sliding glass doors and screens. I was sitting and said to my wife and niece at lunch, "do you guys ever wash windows and screens here?". They almost in harmony said "What?". I said lets wash the windows and screens because they are totally filthy. My wife said, OK I will wash the windows and you can wash the screens. Deal I said. Well clearly my wife or niece have never ever in their entire life washed a window( or so it seems). She got out some paper towels and wet them and started to wash them. I bust out laughing. I said. OK, let me clean this door and screen and you and Chaphat clean the others. Well I have always used a 10% vinegar to water mix and scrub and squeegee. When we were done we all stepped back and looked at both and theirs look like a children just smeared dirt. My wife's friend stopped by and said "Why is that one so clean and that one looks like someone threw mud on it.

Clearly washing windows and keeping screens washed is not important but looking at phones and deals on Lazada is and of course the next meal.

Ah! The old "make-a-mess-of-it-and-never-be-asked-to-do-it-again" trick. I've often used it myself.

Looks like you are the new window cleaner. Nobody can do it as good as you tirak.

A visit to your wife's friend's house seems a logical step. I suspect a uniform may be required for her to wear to achieve the professional finish.

Are you suggesting JPPRs wife's friend dons a nurses uniform and polishes JPPR off, a tortoise owner would never stoop to that.

    This didn't happen.

You're telling me you just laughed at your wife's cleaning attempt and you're still alive?

To the responses above, yes I laughed at my wife. She has a sense of humor. And no I am not the window washer now. There is another trick you can deploy here and that is tell them to call someone to come do it and pay. That offsets you being the one doing it because almost all Thai folks want to save money and seldom want to pay.

I patiently showed them the way to wash 1 set of glass doors and my niece said it was way easier with my method versus wet paper towels. My wife agreed. So my once Moan is actually a win and they cleaned all the windows and I helped by washing the screens.

I think my wife's friends comment was directed that she should leave it alone versus paper towel and water as they look cleaner. Like a windshield on a car when you realize your wiper blades are bad and you have no water in the dispenser.

    Cheers
